Abstract

The water tap valve comprises an inlet part 1 provided with an inlet duct 5, which can be connected up to a water mains 6 and accommodates a locking valve 8, an outlet part 2 provided with an outlet duct 9, and a connecting pipe 3 connecting the inlet part and the outlet part, wherein the outlet part is provided with a control spindle 4 running through the connecting pipe and actuating the locking valve. The control spindle 4, and preferably also the connecting pipe 3, are configured such that they can be telescopically compressed such that there is no need for these to be cut to enable the inlet part and the outlet part to be fastened on opposite sides of walls of different thickness. <IMAGE>
