Claims (14)
1. Fremgangsmåde til coating af et substrat, hvor fremgangsmåden omfatter: at påvirke et substrat med en flerhed af partikler, således at partiklerne klæber til substratet, hvor partiklerne omfatter en polyphenyl-polymer; at binde partiklerne til substratet for at danne et overlag; og at tværbinde partiklerne i overlaget for at coate substratet med en tværbundet polymercoating, hvor polyphenyl-polymeren omfatter, i polymerens backbone, en phenylgruppe, substitueret phenylgruppe, eller phenylgruppe og et heteroatom, kendetegnet ved at: partiklerne yderligere omfatter en tværbinder, hvor tværbinderen omfatter svovl, en peroxyforbindelse, et metalperoxid, eller et metaloxid, hvor metaloxidet omfatter en eller flere af de følgende: zinkoxid; magnesiumoxid; eller titaniumdioxid.
2. Fremgangsmåden ifølge krav 1, hvilken yderligere omfatter at opvarme substratet til en temperatur effektiv til at tværbinde polyphenyl-polymeren.
3. Fremgangsmåden ifølge krav 1, hvilken yderligere omfatter at efterhærde den tværbundne polymercoating efter dannelsen af den tværbundne polymercoating; eventuelt hvor tværbinding og efterhærdning udføres uafhængigt i en tidsperiode fra 0,5 minutter til 60 minutter.
4. Fremgangsmåden ifølge krav 1, hvilken yderligere omfatter at tværbinde polyphenyl-polymeren med tværbinderen forud for at påvirke substratet med partiklerne; hvor tværbinderen er til stede i en mængde fra 0,5 vægtprocent til 10 vægtprocent, baseret på en vægt af polyphenyl-polymeren.
5. Fremgangsmåden ifølge krav 1, hvilken yderligere omfatter at opvarme partiklerne forud for at påvirke substratet, hvor opvarmning er til en temperatur højere end en smeltetemperatur af polyphenyl-polymeren og lavere end en nedbrydningstemperatur af polyphenyl-polymeren; hvor opvarmning af partiklerne udføres ved en temperatur effektiv til at tværbinde polymeren.
6. Fremgangsmåden ifølge krav 1, hvilken yderligere omfatter at accelerere partiklerne med et elektrisk felt forud for at påvirke substratet med partiklerne.
7. Fremgangsmåden ifølge krav 1, hvilken yderligere omfatter at rotere substratet for at inducere påvirkning af substratet med partiklerne.
8. Fremgangsmåden ifølge krav 1, hvor polyphenyl-polymeren omfatter polyphenylensulfid, polyphenylsulfon, selvforstærket polyphenylen, polyaryletherketon, et tværbundet produkt deraf, eller en kombination deraf; og hvor den selvforstærkede polyphenylen omfatter en gentagelsesenhed, der omfatter benzoyl-l,4-phenylen, 1,3-phenylen, phenoxybenzoyl-l,4-phenylen, eller en kombination deraf.
9. Fremgangsmåden ifølge krav 1, hvor partiklerne yderligere omfatter et additiv, der omfatter et nanofyldstof, silika, glasfiber, carbonfiber, carbon black, pigment, farvestof, stabiliseringsmiddel, strømningsforbedrer, blødgøringsmiddel, eller en kombination deraf.
10. Fremgangsmåden ifølge krav 1, hvor substratet omfatter et metal, polymer, keramik, glas, papir, træ, eller en kombination deraf.
11. Fremgangsmåden ifølge krav 1, hvor den tværbundne polymercoating har en tykkelse på 10 pm til 3000 pm.
12. Fremgangsmåden ifølge krav 1, hvor den tværbundne polymercoating er uigennemtrængelig for en fluid, der omfatter en syre, base, gas, boringsvæske, olie, polært solvent, ikke-polært solvent, eller en kombination deraf.
13. Fremgangsmåden ifølge krav 1, hvor den tværbundne polymercoating har en nedbrydningstemperatur højere end 400 °C.
14.
