Abstract

1. A chair having a seat (14) which is rotatably mounted on a column (12) and which is provided with a bearing recess for the upper end of the column and has a resilient detent element (26, 26') which is arranged in the bearing recess and is engageable on the column (12), characterised in that the detent element consists of several resilient detent tongues (26, 26') which are arranged on a bearing cup (23, 23') which is inserted into the bearing recess of the seat (14, 33).
