Description

Description
The present invention refers to a building module made of wood for forming walls, according to the identifying section of claim 1.
Hollow bricks of the traditional type are standardised to the maximum extent and not very flexible to use. They are also relatively heavy and their processing for the passage of any electrical cables and hydraulic ducts is remarkably cumbersome for an installer. Moreover, bricks of this type have a relatively high heat transmission coefficient and therefore they are often unsuitable for the realisation of the so-called climate houses or Klimahaus.
From US 2004128936 a brick building module for building houses is known. This module consists of a building material having completely different characteristics from those of the module according to the invention. Its characteristics, particularly the weight, and the processing possibility are completely different.
From WO9716610 a module is known that is also used in conjunction with brick material and therefore has different structural characteristics since building-bearing characteristics are not required. W02008074170 describes a wood module consisting of at least three planks. The module described does not allow the insertion of insulating material, because there are no gaps for structural reasons. WO 99/661 148 A discloses a building element for walls, ceilings and roofs, comprising at least two panels spaced out from one another which are connected by ribs arranged between the panels, the panels and the ribs defining interposed chambers. In this document neither the figures nor the description appear to show any dovetail guides, covers or transverse elements staggered between each other of walls adjacent to each other. FR 2393894 A describes a box-shaped profile for the formation of an external wall of a pre-fabricated house. The box-shaped profile has two grooves preferably on the upper side and on the lower side of the boxshaped profile.
From Figure 3 a dovetail guide appears clear, which is however obtained with the engagement of two panels which are glued to the through wall element. FR 2920450 A comprises a pre-fabricated wood construction for buildings. In this document the transverse element is available only for the assembly of uniquely two opposite walls.
The object of the present invention is therefore to overcome as best as possible the problems posed by the traditional type bricks and to propose a wood building module for forming walls which is very flexible for the construction of walls and very well adaptable to structures which differ from the traditional ones.
Moreover, a building module shall be proposed, whose heat transmission coefficient is the lowest possible with a relatively low weight to allow quick formation of the walls.
This object is achieved by a wood building module for the formation of walls with the characteristics of the identifying section of claim 1.
Therefore a wood building module is proposed which is adapted to form walls for buildings or the like comprising a first wall which is connected to a second wall through a series of transverse elements, this connection being realised through a dovetail connection and at the top covers being inserted and the second wall being transversally connected to a third wall through a series of elements, these elements being staggered in width with respect to the first transverse elements, the second connection being through a dovetail connection and at the top covers being inserted, the third wall being connected to a fourth wall through a series of transverse elements staggered in width with respect to the second transverse elements and to the fourth wall and the third connection being through a dovetail connection and at the top covers being inserted, the first and the second wall forming through the first transverse elements and the covers a first module and the second and third walls forming through the second transverse elements and the covers a second module which is staggered in height with respect to the first module and the third and fourth walls forming through the third transverse elements and the covers a third module which is staggered in height with respect to the second module.
The building module according to the invention is realised in solid wood, chipboard, multi-layered wood or the like. Despite the low quantity of wood high static values can be obtained.
Very high heat insulating levels are obtained, wherein alignments of building elements from one side to the other side of the building element through a staggering of the building elements are avoided both in width and in height.
The dovetail fixing also allows the use of other binders (adhesives) to be minimised, a hollow profile for the building resistance and an easy preliminary fixing being nonetheless guaranteed.
Due to the male/female system in the longitudinal shape and in the height shape the load capacity of the building module is increased. The beam arranged at the top or at the bottom in length distributes the load-bearing force on the entire length and width of the building module according to the invention.
The cavities themselves can be filled during production with all types of natural, synthetic or recycled insulating materials such as mineral wool, EPS, XPS, cork, wood fibre, cellulose, etc.
The building modules are structured in individual different elements and connected and glued with various binders (polyurethane or polymeric glues) or nailed to each other.
The widths, heights and length can be changed flexibly according to requirements.
The module itself is not connected to a system such as tongue and groove bricks and can be applied in any way.
The building module itself can be cut both along its length and its height. The building module according to the invention can be realised as a corner brick, initial or end brick. Moreover, the building module according to the invention is cheap, stable and has very high heat insulation power.
Moreover, it has a very high stability against cutting forces and is very flexible, also when used in highly seismic areas with the use of variable-pitch metal clips on horizontal joints.
In the case of this element it is very advantageous for realising slots for electrical cables, water ducts or other ducts. When realising the slots, if the structure is made of solid wood, little dust is created and the static property and heat insulation are not compromised. The building modules according to the invention can be realised in a relatively large shape, since due to the low quantity of wood the weight of the building module does not become excessively high.
The building element can also be used as infill or for soundproofing non load-bearing walls, for internal partition walls.
Coverage by means of upper covers allows the closing of the internal space and the protection of any insulating material which is arranged within the building element.
Further characteristics and details will be evident from the claims and the following description of two embodiments described below in a simplified and non limitative way with reference to the appended drawing, wherein,
Figure 1 is a schematic view from above of a wall formed by building modules according to the invention,
Figure 2 is the wall of Figure 1, covered by a cover panel,
Figure 3 is a top view of Figure 1,
Figure 4 is a head view of Figure 3,
Figure 5 is a perspective view of Figure 3.
In the Figures, the numeral 1 indicates a wood building element for the formation of walls or the like. A first wall 4 is connected through a series of transverse elements 7a to a second wall 3. The connection 6 is realised through a dovetail connection. The connection allows a secure and reliable quick-connection, wherein high stability of the structure is guaranteed. The entire arrangement is closed by a locking cover 5.
The second wall 3 is transversally connected through a series of elements 7b to a third wall. These elements are staggered in width with respect to the first transverse elements 7a. The second connection is also realised through a dovetail connection 6 in light of the above advantages. The entire arrangement is closed in a joint fashion through a cover 8. The third wall 11 is connected to the fourth wall 10 through a series of transverse elements 7b which are staggered in width with the second transverse elements 7b. This fourth wall 10 and the third wall are connected through a dovetail connection 6. The entire arrangement is covered through a cover 12 in a joint fashion. The first 4 and the second wall 3 form a first module by means of the first transverse elements 7a and the covers 5. The second wall 3 and the third wall 11 form a second module which is staggered in height with respect to the first module, by means of the second transverse elements 7b and the cover 8. The third wall 11 and the fourth wall 10 form a third module which is staggered in height with respect to the second module, by means of the third transverse elements 7c under the cover 15.
Therefore a wood building module is described which is adapted to form walls for buildings or the like comprising a first wall, which is connected to a second wall through a series of transverse elements, this connection being realised through a dovetail connection and joint covers being inserted at the top and the second wall being transversally connected to a third wall through a series of elements, these elements being staggered in width with respect to the first transverse elements, the second connection being through a dovetail connection and at the top jointed covers being inserted, the third wall being connected to a fourth wall through a series of transverse elements staggered in width with respect to the second transverse elements and to the fourth wall and the third connection being through a dovetail connection and at the top covers being inserted, the first and the second wall forming through the first transverse elements and the covers a first module and the second and third walls forming through the second transverse elements and some covers a second module which is staggered in height with respect to the first module and the third and fourth walls forming through the third transverse elements and the covers a third module which is staggered in height with respect to the second module.
The building module is formed by at least one diagonal internal element which is formed by a wall 3 and by a series of transverse elements 7b and is staggered with respect to the two external diagonal elements which are formed by the walls 4, 5 and by the transverse elements 7a, 7b, so that the internal diagonal element creates a recess/projection 8 and 9 vertically and horizontally with respect to the external ones. This has a jointed element on all sides (male and female). For the formation of the building module an internal diagonal element and two external diagonal elements are envisaged with interposition of intermediate panels to close the diagonal elements facing each other (the diagonal elements are jointed/tapped with the intermediate panels 6). Advantageously, each building module is closed at the top by a cover panel to prevent rainwater infiltration inside the block.
Each diagonal element is formed by a base component, intermediate components and teeth. Therefore each building module has a projection 8 at the top and on the sides adapted to be engaged in the recess 9. In this embodiment example the base component 6 and the teeth 7 are formed by boards.
The whole block can be overturned.
The modules can also be divided, also transversally into various parts so as to realise larger building elements.
Particularly advantageous is the application of metal elements, such as nails and screws which are inserted for the reinforcement of the structure for example into the transverse elements 7. This is necessary for example in the case where they are used as structural elements in seismic regions.
The building element according to the invention can be realised in an embodiment so that between wall 4 and wall 3 and between wall 3 and wall 11 and between wall 11 and wall 10 at least one further wall may be interposed.
