Description

Assembly and repair device Description
The invention relates to an assembly and repair device for vehicles, in particular construction and commercial vehicles, according to the preamble of Patent Claim 1.
Assembly and repair devices of the kind referred to here are known from DE 10 2009 012 047 A1 and DE 20 2008 003 251 U1, for example. The devices, generally referred to as finished part assembly or repair pits, are frequently used in workshops or manufacturing operations for the assembly or repair of motor vehicles, rail vehicles, machines or machine parts. In this way, the staff can work comfortably beneath the corresponding vehicles and machines. The assembly and repair pits referred to here are cartridges made of steel or similar corrosion-resistant material prefabricated at the manufacturer’s end. The cartridge is of single-part or multi-part configuration and has two longitudinal side walls, front side walls arranged at the ends and a base, wherein at least the longitudinal side walls each comprise an inner wall and an outer wall arranged at a distance therefrom. Consequently, a cavity is provided between the inner wall and the outer wall which is used for receiving a hardenable filling material such as concrete. Fig. 1 shows an arrangement of this kind known from the state of the art of an assembly and repair device 10 which is arranged in a ground recess 30 provided with a bearing plate 20.
The prefabricated cartridges are therefore customarily introduced into a ground recess provided with a bearing plate at the place of installation, as shown in Fig. 1. At places where the excavation of a ground recess and the introduction of a foundation are not possible, traditional cartridges cannot simply be installed either. Similar problems arise wherever a finally fitted cartridge is to be installed on unfortified ground such as sludge, mud or seabed and, generally speaking, on structurally unsound ground.
The problem addressed by the present invention is therefore that of creating an assembly and repair device which does not require a ground recess provided with a bearing plate and which can therefore be installed on unfortified ground.
In order to solve the aforementioned problem, an assembly and repair device with the features of Patent Claim 1 is proposed. The assembly and repair device is in particular provided for vehicles, for example for construction and commercial vehicles, and comprises a single-part or multi-part cartridge made of steel or a similar corrosion-resistant material having two longitudinal side walls, front side walls arranged at the ends and a base, wherein at least the side walls each comprise an inner wall and an outer wall arranged at a distance therefrom which delimit a cavity for receiving a hardenable filling material. The assembly and repair device is characterised in that a sheeting wall arranged outside the cartridge comprises a sheet pile wall in particular, wherein on the inner and/or the outer wall of the longitudinal side walls, a plurality of spaced support members are installed for suspended mounting of the cartridge on the sheeting wall, particularly on the sheet pile wall. A substantial point of the invention is therefore that the support members secured to the inner and/or outer wall mean that a ground recess with a finished surface is no longer necessary. The support members advantageously allow the cartridge to be mounted in a substantially freely suspended manner between two sheeting walls, in particular sheet pile walls. The installation of the cartridge can therefore take place on any unfinished surface, for example even on the seabed, with the help of suitable sheeting walls. The application possibilities of the cartridge are therefore substantially increased overall and restrictions hitherto imposed by the construction ground are overcome.
An assembly and repair device is particularly preferable in which the support members are configured as steel girders, in particular as double T-girders. The support members in this case are connected to the cartridge at the manufacturer’s end and are therefore supplied along with the cartridge as a prefabricated part at the installation site. The support members are preferably welded to the inner wall and/or the outer wall. Fastening in this case preferably takes place at the upper end of the inner and/or outer wall, wherein in the present case the upper end is taken to mean an end of the inner and/or outer wall turned away from the base.
One or more spacer members are preferably provided between the support members and the sheeting wall. These may be in the form of U-profiles, for example, and may be inseparably connected, particularly welded, both to the spacer member and also to the sheeting wall. The height of the sheeting wall, which normally comprises a plurality of sheeting wall sections which can therefore be inserted into the ground at different depths, is levelled both by the spacer member or spacer members. The height differences resulting from this between the individual sheeting wall sections are balanced out by the spacer member or spacer members. Particularly preferable is an embodiment in which a single spacer member extends over the entire length of a sheeting wall. The spacer member then creates a continuous flat surface on which the support members can be placed.
It is preferably also envisaged that the outer wall forms an envelope completely sealing the cartridge. In this way, a freely suspended arrangement of the cartridge is possible in which a filling material, such as concrete, is filled into the cavity between the inner wall and the outer wall. The outer wall in this embodiment need not be surrounded by a fastening or filling material.
The invention is explained in greater detail below with the help of the drawings. In the drawings:
Fig. 1 shows a cross-sectional representation of a configuration known from the state of the art of an assembly and repair device in a ground recess;
Fig. 2 shows a schematic cross-sectional representation of an assembly and repair device according to the invention;

Fig. 5 shows a schematic detail representation of a support member connected to the inner wall of the cartridge.
Fig. 2 shows a schematic cross-sectional representation of an assembly and repair device 1 according to the invention. The assembly and repair device 1 comprises a cartridge 3 made of steel or a similar corrosion-resistant material. The cartridge has two longitudinal side walls 5 and also front side walls 7 arranged at the ends which can be seen in Figures 3 and 4. In addition, a base 9 is provided. The side walls 5 and 7 each comprise an inner wall 11 and an outer wall 13 which between them form a cavity 15. Following the final positioning of the cartridge 3, the cavity 15 can be filled with a filling material such as concrete, for example. The cavity 15 also comprises apertures in the webs of T-girders between the inner and outer wall which allow a fluid connection to be made of the entire cavity 15. The apertures are depicted in the form of circles in Fig. 2.
On an upper end of the longitudinal side wall 5, i.e. turned away from the base 9, a support member 17 is attached to the inner wall 11 in each case. The support member 17 is preferably configured as a steel girder, in the present case specifically as a double T-girder, and welded to the inner wall 11. Fundamentally conceivable is also an additional or alternative connection of the support member 17 to the outer wall 13. For reasons of stability it is recommended, however, for the support member 17 to be connected to the inner wall 11.
The support members 17 are of elongated design overall and extend transversely in a longitudinal direction L (see Fig. 3) of the cartridge 3. In addition, the support members 17 are each located on a sheeting wall, for example on a sheet pile wall 19. In principle, the assembly and repair device according to the invention can also be secured with the help of the support members 17 to other sheeting walls, such as bored pile walls, slotted walls or similar types of walls. The sheet pile walls 19 are oriented parallel to one another and are oriented on the assembly and repair device in such a manner that the cartridge 3 can be positioned by means of the support members 17 in a suspending manner between the sheet pile walls 19. A spacer member 21 is arranged between a support member 17 and a sheet pile wall 19 in each case. The spacer member 21 is preferably inseparably attached, particularly welded, both to the support member 17 and also to the sheet pile wall 19. In the embodiment of the invention shown in Fig. 2, the spacer member 21 is also configured as a U-profile which is virtually laid over the sheet pile wall 19. The legs of the U-shaped spacer member 21 therefore run laterally and substantially parallel to the sheet pile wall 19, while the rear surface of the spacer member 21 bears against the support member 17 in a planar manner. The spacer member 21 preferably extends over the entire length of the sheet pile wall 19, so that a closed, levelled planar surface results, on which the support members 17 can be positioned. Levelling is required for the installation of the assembly and repair device 1, as the sheet pile walls 19 are not usually on an identical height level, but some sheet pile wall sections may be mounted higher or lower than others, so that an uneven plane results which is balanced out by the spacer member 21. In other words, the spacer member 21 bridges any unevenness on the upper side of the sheet pile wall 19 which comprises a plurality of sheet pile wall sections. The spacer member 21 therefore acts as a levelling device overall for balancing out any possible height variation in the sheet pile walls 19.
Fig. 3 shows a plan view of an assembly and repair device 1 according to the invention. The figure makes it clear that a plurality of support members 17 are attached along the longitudinal direction L of the cartridge 3 to each of the two longitudinal side walls 5 in each case at fixed intervals. A total of fourteen support members 17 are attached to each of the longitudinal side walls 5 in the exemplary embodiment shown in Fig. 3. Depending on the design and weight of the cartridge 3, more or fewer support members 17 can be provided on the side walls. The distances between the support members 17 may also vary, particularly in the range of 1.5 - 3 m. It may be provided, for example, that in the range of higher weight concentrations (kN/m2) in the cartridge 3 a greater density of support members 17 is provided. Furthermore, the embodiment and the supporting capacity of the support members 17 may vary as required. The U-profile-shaped spacer members 21 may also be configured for different load-bearing capacities, depending on the application and design of the sheet pile wall. In particular, the configuration and supporting capacity of the support members 17 also depend on the nature and supporting capacity of the sheeting wall.
Fig. 4 shows the use of the support members 17 for another embodiment of an assembly and repair device 1. In the embodiment shown in Fig. 4, the cartridge 3 comprises lateral extensions 23 which particularly form so-called bus hatches, in order to guarantee lateral access to the inside of the cassette. It goes without saying that the sheet pile wall 19 is correspondingly adapted to the shape of the lateral extensions 23 and must therefore exhibit the shape of the cartridge 3. This is easily achieved possibly through the connection of a plurality of sheet pile wall sections. As is also provided for in the other regions of the longitudinal side walls 5, corresponding support members 17 are provided in the region of the lateral extensions 23 which support the cartridge 3 in this region on the sheet pile wall 19.
Fig. 5 shows a detail representation of a support member 17 fastened to the inner wall 11 of a cassette 3. It is clear in this case that the support member 17 is attached to an upper section of the inner wall 11, wherein this upper section is formed by an L- and a U-profile.
The installation of all the support members 17 of the completely prefabricated assembly and repair device 1 takes place at the place of use as follows: Sheet pile walls 19 are initially created which comprise individual profiles (sheet pile wall sections) which are connected to one another in a leakproof manner via locks (tongue and groove connection). The sheet pile walls 19 are configured in the form of a space 25 sealed in a watertight manner in which the cartridge 3 can later be inserted, at least when the open sea acts as the building foundation. Insofar as the installation takes place close to the coast, the sheet pile walls may have a height of approx. 25 m or more, for example, wherein the upper free end lies above the surface of the sea and the other end of the sheet pile wall sections is rammed or juddered into the seabed. The distance between two parallel sheet pile walls 19 in this case must be chosen such that the cartridge can be positioned between them and the support members can come to rest on the upper ends of the sheet pile walls. Advantageously, any water located in the space 25 is pumped out before the cartridge is introduced.
The spacer member 21, particularly in the form of the U-profile shown in Fig. 2, is then attached to the upper exposed end of the sheet pile walls 19 and welded to the sheet pile wall 19. The spacer member 21 preferably extends on either side of the space 25 along the entire sheet pile wall 19 in each case. The cartridge along with the support members 17 can then be introduced into the space 25 and the support members 17 welded to the spacer member 21. A filling of the space 25 with filling material such as earth or the like is not strictly necessary. Instead, it may be provided that the cartridge 3 is arranged in a freely suspended manner in the space 25. It is crucial in this case for the outer wall 13 to form an envelope completely sealing the cartridge 3. Because the cartridge 3 is sealed by the completely closed outer wall 13, the filling chambers, i.e. the cavity 15 between the inner wall 11 and the outer wall 13 can be filled with filling material without this escaping into the space 25. A bearing plate 27 can then be applied to the support members 17 and suitable reinforcements to the assembly and repair device 1.
The present invention creates an advantageous assembly and repair device overall which can be installed irrespective of the local conditions and, in particular, independently of the nature of the ground.
