Abstract

1. A flow-type heater comprising heating elements (1) which are made of cold-conducting material and which, together with current supply electrodes (2) covering said heating elements on both sides thereof and electrical insulation (3) covering the supply electrodes, are packed into a thin-walled tubular jacket (4, 12) which is arranged within a carrier (7a, 7b, 14) which contains at least two channels (8, 8a ; 16, 16a) which run parallel to the tubular jacket, and through which the medium to be heated can flow, characterized in that sections of the tubular jacket (4, 12) in each case form a wall of the channels (8, 8a ; 16, 16a) ; that before and after the tubular jacket (4, 12), the channels (8, 8a ; 16, 16a) merge into a single flow section as well as having a cross-section for a thin fuel oil stream which is small in amount.
