Description
METHOD FOR CREATING A TRACK BODY Description [0001] The invention relates to a method for creating a track body of a railroad line in the case of a track which is not present initially.
[0002] Track bodies of a railroad line consist fundamentally of a track bed as well as a track located on the track bed. The track bed is applied to a previously prepared line substructure and has in each case a gravel layer. A base grade protection layer and/or anti-freeze layer and/or a non-woven material can be located underneath the gravel layer. The track which is located on the track bed consists of sleepers and rails. See for example EP 2 071 077 A2.
[0003] Apart from the situation where an existing track body has to be renewed, there is also the situation where there is no track body present and thus the track body has to be created completely anew. The present invention proceeds from here. For this it is known first to create the track bed and then to apply the track in a following separate work process by using quite different machines. Since this involves two separate work processes this method is technically complicated and time-consuming.
[0004] Proceeding from this the invention is concerned with the problem of providing a rapid commercially viable method for creating a track body of a railroad line where a track has not previously existed.
[0005] The technical solution is characterized by the features of Claim 1.
[0006] A technically simple and thus economic method for creating a track body of a railroad line where a track was not present initially is thereby provided by using a track advancing machine with the simultaneous installation of the track bed as well as the track. The core idea of the invention lies in providing a method which uses a specially designed machine which in the case of a track not present initially, and a non-existent gravel layer as well as where applicable a non-existent support layer (base grade protection layer and/or anti-freeze layer), enables the implementation of various different work processes in one continuous working procedure just in the front, namely the installation of a gravel layer underneath the track including where applicable the installation of substructure layers as well as an anti-freeze layer and/or base grade protection layer, furthermore where applicable the installation of a non-woven material as the separating layer between the line substructure and the installation layers as well as finally the installation of the track. This is achieved by means of a machine working just in the front which enables a continuous introduction of the aforementioned materials. For this purpose the work car is equipped with corresponding installation finishers as well as installation appliances. A number of finishers is provided corresponding to the number of layers to be applied. The materials are thus installed continuously in succession with the installation appliances and are compacted where necessary. This initially applies in each case for the gravel layer as well as where applicable for the base grade protection layer and/or anti-freeze layer as well as for the non-woven material where the latter are likewise installed. The rails are initially laid down on the line substructure in the preliminary stage of the working process. They are threaded into the machine during operation. The sleepers are installed underneath the work car in the rear area of the machine, viewed in the operating direction. The sleepers are then supplied to the machine in the operating direction. After installation of the sleepers the rails threaded into the machine are finally applied to the sleepers below the machine and are fastened. By means of the method according to the invention with the work car associated therewith it is possible to install the track bed as well as the track in one continuous work process. It is thereby possible to build a new track body without an already existent track. Thus in the case of line new builds the aforementioned work steps can take place by machine in one continuous work process. Compared with the prior art this results in a significantly faster construction time since discontinuous or separate work steps are avoided. The supply of the track building materials for the said work steps can then take place entirely by rail. A supply with road vehicles is thereby avoided.
[0007] The further development according to Claim 2 proposes that when necessary a base grade protection layer and/or anti-freeze layer is still applied underneath the gravel. This is also carried out by means of one and the same work car and only represents one additional work station inside this work car.
[0008] Furthermore according to the further development in Claim 3 it can be proposed that a non-woven material is initially applied to the line substructure. This non-woven material serves as a separating layer between the line substructure and the installation layers located above same. The corresponding appliance for applying this non-woven material is a constituent part of the work car and then defines the foremost station.
[0009] The rear area of the work car according to the invention, seen in the operating direction, can travel on the already laid track by means of a corresponding chassis. The front area of the work car is however loaded in the area where the track body has still not yet been created. For this purpose according to the further development in Claim 4 the work car is supported in this area on the substructure by means of a specially powered crawler car. These crawler cars thus enable driving forward on the substructure.
[0010] Furthermore according to the further development in Claim 5 it can be proposed that the front top end of the work car is supported on the line substructure by means of a crawler car. This crawler car is preferably also driven. The arrangement of the chain vehicles described previously can be varied in dimension and position.
[0011] Finally the further development according to Claim 6 proposes that separate material cars are coupled to the work car according to the invention. The materials to be installed can be supplied to the front work car according to the invention by means of suitable conveying devices, in particular conveyor belts. The flow of materials is thereby in the operating direction of the machine.
[0012] An exemplary embodiment of a work car according to the invention for continuously creating a track body of an installation stretch where a track was not initially present will now be described below with reference to the drawings. In the drawings:
Figure 1 shows a schematic view of the work car;
Figure 2 shows a section along the line A-A in Figure 1;
Figure 3 shows a section along the line B-B in Figure 1.
[0013] The starting situation is that in order to create a track body 1 a prepared line substructure 2 is present. The track body 1 is to be applied to this line substructure 2.
[0014] The track body 1 consists initially of a track bed 3 which is located on the line substructure 2. This track bed 3 consists initially of a non-woven material 4 as the separating layer from the layers located above same, a base grade protection layer, and/or an anti-freeze layer 5 as well as a layer of gravel 6.
[0015] The track 7 consisting of sleepers 8 and rails 9 is placed on the track bed 3.
[0016] In order to create the track body 1 a work car 10 is provided. This has three chassis, namely a crawler car 11 at the front top end of the work car 10. This crawler car 11 travels on the line substructure 2. It is basically conceivable that this crawler car 11 can also be omitted. A crawler car 12 is likewise located in the middle area. This crawler car travels on the gravel layer 6. At the end there is finally a chassis 13 which is movable on the rails 9. The configuration and arrangement of the aforesaid different chassis can be different and can be adapted to the relevant conditions.
[0017] The work car 10 has at the front an installation device 14 for the non-woven material 4, behind this an installation device 15 for the base grade protection layer and/or anti-freeze layer 5, behind this an installation device 16 for the gravel layer 6, and behind this an installation device 17 for the sleepers. The supply of the corresponding materials takes place via conveyor belts 18 from corresponding material wagons which are coupled at the back of the work car 10, viewed in the operating direction.
[0018] Finally a threading device 19, shown only schematically, is provided for the rails and sets and fastens the rails 9 on the sleepers 8.
[0019] The functional procedure is as follows:
First the rails 9 are deposited on the line substructure 2.
[0020] Furthermore an initial piece of the track body 1 is installed virtually by hand so that the rear chassis 13 of the work car 10 can be placed on the rails 9.
[0021] Finally it is possible to start the work process by means of the work car 10 whereby the corresponding materials are installed continuously by means of the devices 14 to 17, and finally after applying the sleepers 8 the threaded-in rails 9 are placed and fastened on the sleepers 8.
[0022] It is thereby important that all the work steps are carried out continuously in one and the same work car 10 without a track already being previously present.
