Description
Technical Field
The invention relates to a baking oven with a cooking chamber, in which an insert, as e.g. a grid, a baking tray, a baking pan (e.g. made of glas) or the like, can be inserted. The insert is supported by a lateral guide and secured by a latching against a too far unintended pulling out.
Background Art
Mostly, the insert is supported by two lateral guides in such devices. Every guide comprises upper and lower guiding means, wherein the insert is inserted between the upper and the lower guiding means such that a tilt of the insert when pulling it out is limited by the rear end of the insert hitting against the upper guiding means .
In order to prevent that such an insert is unintentionally pulled out too far from the cooking chamber such that the insert falls out of the guide and e.g. hot food bursts out against the user, it was proposed to provide a latching mechanism, where an elevation is arranged at a proper position, which hits against the lower guiding means while inserting and pulling out. EP 2 442 036 proposes to arrange a latching element both at the lateral guiding means in the cooking chamber and at the insert.
Due to this, the safety of the operation is increased. But in practice, the latching mechanism usually disturbs. WO 2007/077163 describes a cooking device with a cooking chamber and two lateral guides arranged therein, wherein the insert has a stop which limits the movement of the insert.
Disclosure of the Invention
It is the object to provide a baking oven of the type described above which is easy to use.
This object is solved by the baking oven according to claim 1. According to this, a first latching element is arranged at the upper guiding means and a second latching element is arranged at the insert, which engage one another if the insert is pulled out with tilt, but do not engage one another if the insert is pulled out without tilt. Due to this, the latching mechanism is only effective if the insert is pulled out with tilt, as it is typically the case if the user pulls the insert out of the oven only with one hand and without a manual guide, e.g. in order to pour a sauce over a roast. But if the user manually guides the insert while pulling it out such that it stays horizontally, the latching mechanism is not effective, and the insert can be simply removed from the cooking chamber.
The invention is further limited in that - the upper guiding means (8) forms an upper abutment surface or abutment line for the insert (10, 11), which has an upwardly recessed section in the area of the first latching element, wherein the second latching element (15) engages in the upwardly recessed section while pulling out the insert (10, 11) under tilt. Due to this, it is reached that the tilt of the insert remains low, except in the area of the latching element, where it is slightly greater, and/or - the upper guiding means (8) is formed by a wire and the wire of the upper guiding means (8) is upwardly recessed in the area of the bulged section, and/or - the insert (10, 11) is a baking tray and the second latching element (15) is formed by a folded, upwardly protruding area of the baking tray, and/or - the insert (10, 11) is a baking tray or a baking pan.
Brief Description of the Drawings
Further embodiments, advantages and applications of the invention arise from the dependent claims and from the now following description with the figures. It shows :
Fig. 1 a view of a baking oven with an opened door,
Fig. 2 a sectional view through the cooking chamber of a baking oven with two different inserts,
Fig. 3 a sectional view through the edge of a baking tray,
Fig. 4 a first embodiment of the first, i.e. upper latching element and
Fig. 5 a second embodiment of the first latching element.
Modes for Carrying Out the Invention
Fig. 1 shows a baking oven with a cooking chamber 1, which can be closed at the front by a tilting door 2. Guiding grids 5 are arranged in the cooking chamber at opposite vertical side walls 3, 4. Each guiding grid is a wire construction comprising two vertical wires 6, which are fixed at the respective side wall 3 or 4, respectively, and several horizontal wires 7, 8, which are fixed at the vertical wires 6. Each pair of horizontal wires 7, 8 forms lower and upper guiding means for receiving an insert as described in the following.
In the embodiment according to Fig. 1, the guiding means are formed by the wires 7, 8. It is conceivable that the guiding means are formed by other elements, as e.g. by deep-drawn forms in the side walls of the baking oven.
Fig. 2 shows a sectional view through the baking oven in an opened state with two different inserts 10, 11. Insert 10 has the form of a grating, insert 11 has the form of a backing tray. Insert 10 is shown in a partially pulled out state and shown with dashed lines in an inserted state, insert 11 is only shown in a partially pulled out state.
Every insert extends between the side walls 3 and 4 of the cooking chamber and is laterally kept there from a respective guide. Every guide is formed by a pair of wire 7, 8. Each upper wire 8 forms an upper guiding means and the lower wire 7 forms a lower guiding means.
In an inserted state each insert 10, 11 is arranged on the lower guiding means or on the wire 7, respectively, and does not touch the upper guiding means or the wire 8, respectively. But if the insert 10 or 11, respectively, is pulled out without a manual guidance, then it slightly tilts forward at a certain pull out position such that the back end 12 (i.e. the end facing away from the cook ing chamber opening) hits the upper guiding means or the wire 8, respectively, whereby the tilting of the insert is limited while pulling out.
Both guiding means or both wires 7, 8, respectively, form an abutment surface or an abutment line, respectively, for the insert. This is understood to be that part of the guiding means which gets in contact with the insert. The abutment surfaces or the abutment lines, respectively, run substantially horizontally.
As initially mentioned, a latching mechanism is provided, which has an effect if the insert 10 or 11, respectively, is pulled out in tilted position. The latching mechanism if formed by a first latching element 14 and a second latching element 15. The first latching element 14 is arranged at the upper guiding means, i.e. at the wire 8, the second latching means 15 is arranged at the insert 10, 11.
In the embodiment of the latching mechanism shown in Fig. 2, which is shown enlarged in Fig. 4, the first latching element 14 is formed by an upwardly recessed section of the abutment surface of the upper guid ing means or the wire 8, respectively, as it is shown in particular in Fig. 4. This is reached by upwardly bulging the wire 8 in the area of the section 14, i.e. upwardly deformed as a U-form or a V-form.
In the case of the grating 10, the second latching element 15 is formed by a horizontal wire, in the case of the baking tray 11 by a folded, upwardly protruding area of the baking tray. Fig. 3 shows the adaptation of the baking tray 11 in detail. According to this the edge 16 of the baking tray has an elevated area 17 followed by a downwardly bent section 18 such that an upwardly rounded latching element 15 is formed.
If now an insert 10, 11 is pulled out from the cooking chamber in tilted position, then the second latching element 15 engages in the bulge of the first latching element 14, whereby the tilting angle of the insert 10, 11 slightly increases and prevents or at least hinders a further pulling out until the user lifts the insert at its outer edge and brings it in a horizontal position in order to unfasten the second latching element 15 out of the first latching element 14.
In the embodiment according to Fig. 2 or Fig. 4, respectively, the first latching element 14, as mentioned, is formed by an upwardly recessed section. An alternative embodiment is shown in Fig. 5, according to which the first latching element 14 is formed by a downwardly protruding section of the upper guiding means. But the latching element protrudes downwardly only to such extent that it gets in touch with a tilted insert 10, 11, but not with a horizontally guided insert 10, 11.
Other adaptations of the latching elements 14, 15 are possible. For example, it is possible that the first (upper) latching element is not formed by a bent section of the wire 8, but by an assisting element arranged at the wire 8. Furthermore, the first latching element can also stick out laterally (horizontally) stick out from the wire 8. The second latching element can also be formed by an assisting element fixed at the insert 10, 11.
Preferably, both latching elements are dimensioned and arranged such that they do not get in touch with each other if the insert 10, 11 is pulled out in horizontal position (i.e. with a vertically supported outer end of the insert), but they get in touch if the insert is not supported at its outer end while pulling out and therefore tilts downwardly while pulling out.
Preferably, first and second latching elements are provided on both sides of the insert, i.e. on the side wall 3 as well as at the side wall 4, such that the insert is kept on both sides.
The second latching element is preferably arranged at an edge of the insert 10, 11 because the (back) edge of the insert is raised the most when tilting the insert 10, 11 while pulling out.
Furthermore, the insert preferably has at its back edge, i.e. at the edge facing the muffle, as well as at its front edge, i.e. at the edge facing to the outside, a second latching element. Since second latching elements are arranged at edges arranged opposite to each other, the insert can be inserted into the cooking chamber 1 with two different orientations.
In the embodiment shown in Fig. 2 the first (upper) latching element 14 is displaced from the middle of the upper guiding means or wire 8, respectively, to the outside. This has the advantage that the insert 10, 11 latches only in a relatively extended position. However, a disadvantage is that the guiding grid for the left and the right side wall 3 or 4, respectively, is differently adapted. Therefore, in another preferred embodiment the first latching element 14 is arranged in the middle at the upper guiding means or wire 8, respectively.
