Claims (13)
1. Pakningssamling ifølge krav 1, hvor: (i) forseglingselementerne (64, 66, 68, 70, 74, 76) kan udvides radialt til at gå i forseglende kontakt med en brøndoverflade uden at forkorte en langsgående afstand mellem støtteringene (32, 46) eller (ii) mindst en af støtteringene (46) indbefatter en overflade (52), der er radialt forskudt i forhold til en overflade af ét tilstødende af forseglingselementerne (64, 66, 68, 70, 74, 76), og at støtteringens overflade (52) er indrettet til at få det tilstødende forseglingselement (64,66,68,70,74,76) til at gå i forseglende kontakt, når det tilstødende forseglingselement (64, 66, 68, 70, 74, 76) udvides i borehullet, fortrinsvis hvor støtteringens overflade (52) er parallel med det tilstødende forseglingselements overflade.
4. Pakningssamling ifølge krav 1, hvor forseglingselementerne (64, 66, 68, 70, 74, 76) kan forlænges radialt ind i forseglende kontakt med en brøndoverflade uden at sammenpresse forseglingselementerne (64, 66, 68, 70, 74, 76) i langsgående retning.
5. Pakningssamling ifølge krav 1, hvor forseglingselementerne indbefatter første forseglingselementer (74), der strækker sig over et andet forseglingselement (76), og hvor det andet forseglingselement (76) er mindre stift end de første forseglingselementer (74), og fortrinsvis hvor mindst ét af de første forseglingselementer indbefatter et forstærkningsmateriale (78) i et forseglingsmateriale, og hvor forseglingsmaterialet fortrinsvis er et udvideligt forseglingsmateriale.
6. Pakningssamling ifølge krav 1, hvor forseglingselementerne har tilsvarende varierende niveauer af stivhed i en retning parallel med den langsgående akse.
7. Fremgangsmåde til konstruktion af en pakningssamling (40), der har en ønsket trykforskelsforseglingsevne, hvilken fremgangsmåde omfatter trinnene: at tilvejebringe et bundrør (44), at tilvejebringe flere forseglingselementer (64, 66, 68, 70, 74, 76), idet hvert forseglingselement (64, 66, 68, 70, 74, 76) kan udvides i et borehulsmiljø som reaktion på kontakt med en væske og hvert forseglingselement (64, 66, 68, 70, 74, 76) har en forudbestemt trykforskelsforseglingsevne, der er mindre end pakningssamlingens (40) ønskede trykforskelsforseglingsevne, kendetegnet ved, at hvert forseglingselement (64, 66, 68, 70, 74, 76) har mindst én flade (72), der skråner i forhold til en langsgående akse af pakningssamlingen, og de skrånende flader (72) af tilstødende forseglingselementer (64, 66, 68, 70, 74, 76) er i kontakt med hinanden og, efter pakningssamlingens (40) ønskede trykforskelsforseglingsevne er blevet bestemt, at installere et udvalgt antal forseglingselementer (64, 66, 68, 70, 74, 76) på bundrøret (44), således at de installerede forseglingselementers (64, 66, 68, 70, 74, 76) samlede forudbestemte trykforskelsforseglingsevne, er mindst lige så stor som pakningssamlingens (40) ønskede trykforskelsforseglingsevne, og hvor for hvert sæt af skrånende flader (72) af tilstødende forseglingselementer (64, 66, 68, 70, 74, 76), der er i kontakt med hinanden, én af de skrånende flader (72) radialt udad får en ende af det forseglingselement (64, 66, 68, 70, 74, 76), med hvilken det er i kontakt, til at gå i forseglende kontakt med brøndoverfladen (22, 24), når pakningselementerne (64, 66, 68, 70, 74, 76) udvides i borehullet, og at fastgøre støtteringe (32, 46) til bundrøret (44), således at støtteringene (32, 46) strækker sig over forseglingselementerne og begrænser langsgående forskydning af forseglingselementerne (64, 66, 68, 70, 74, 76) i forhold til bundrøret (44), idet mindst én støttering (46) indbefatter en flade (48), der skråner i forhold til den langsgående akse, og støtteringens flade (48) er indrettet til at få ét tilstødende af forseglingselementerne (64, 66, 68, 70, 74, 76) til at gå i forseglende kontakt med brøndoverfladen, når det tilstødende forseglingselement (64, 66, 68, 70, 74, 76) udvides i borehullet.
8. Fremgangsmåde ifølge krav 7, hvor installeringstrinnet endvidere omfatter at bringe flader af tilstødende forseglingselementer (64, 66, 68, 70, 74, 76) i kontakt med hinanden, fortrinsvis hvor fladerne af de tilstødende forseglingselementer (64, 66, 68, 70, 74, 76) skråner i forhold til en langsgående af bundrøret (44).
9. Fremgangsmåde ifølge krav 7, der endvidere omfatter trinnet at udvide forseglingselementerne (64, 66, 68, 70, 74, 76) i borehullet, således at forseglingselementerne (64, 66, 68, 70, 74, 76) går i forseglende kontakt en brøndoverflade, fortrinsvis hvor forseglingselementerne (64, 66, 68, 70, 74, 76) går i forseglende kontakt med brøndoverfladen uden at sammenpresse forseglingselementerne (64, 66, 68, 70, 74, 76) i langsgående retning.
10. Fremgangsmåde ifølge krav 7, hvor trinnet at tilvejebringe forseglingselementer endvidere omfatter at tilvejebringe første forseglingselementer (74), der er mindre stive end mindst ét andet forseglingselement (76), fortrinsvis hvor installeringstrinnet endvidere omfatter at anbringe de første forseglingselementer (74), så de strækker sig over det andet forseglingselement (76).
11. Fremgangsmåde ifølge krav 7, hvor installeringstrinnet endvidere omfatter at variere en stivhed af forseglingselementerne (64, 66, 68, 70, 74, 76) i en retning parallel med en langsgående akse af bundrøret (44).

Fremgangsmåde ifølge krav 11, hvor: (i) mindst en af støtteringene (32,46) indbefatter en overflade (52), der er radialt forskudt i forhold til en overflade af ét tilstødende af forseglingselementerne (64, 66, 68, 70, 74, 76), og endvidere omfatter trinnet at støtteringens overflade får det tilstødende forseglingselement til at gå i forseglende kontakt med en brøndoverflade, når det tilstødende forseglingselement udvides i borehullet, og fortrinsvis hvor støtteringens overflade (52) er parallel med det tilstødende forseglingselements overflade, eller ii) fremgangsmåden endvidere omfatter trinnet at udvide forseglingselementerne (64, 66, 68, 70, 74, 76) i borehullet, så forseglingselementerne (64, 66, 68, 70, 74, 76) går i forseglende kontakt med en brøndoverflade uden at forkorte en langsgående afstand mellem støtteringene (32, 46).
13. Fremgangsmåde ifølge krav 7, hvor installeringstrinnet endvidere omfatter: (a) at forskyde forseglingselementerne (64, 66, 68, 70, 74, 76) på bundrøret (44) fra en ende deraf, (b) at installere mindst ét af forseglingselementerne (64, 66, 68, 70, 74, 76) på bundrøret (44) i en tværgående retning i forhold til den langsgående akse af bundrøret (44) eller (c) at vikle mindst ét af forseglingselementerne som en spiral om bundrøret (44).
