Description
PATENTKRAV 1. Metode til inhibering af sulfidproduktion af sulfat-reducerende bakterier (SRB), hvilken metode omfatter følgende trin: (a) at bringe SRB i kontakt med en første koncentration af en biocidkomponent, hvor denne første koncentration er mindre end ca. 90% af minimumsinhi-beringskoncentrationen (MIC) af biocid-komponenten; og (b) at bringe SRB i kontakt med en anden koncentration af en metabolisk inhibitorkomponent, hvor denne anden koncentration er mindre end ca. 90% af MIC af metabolisk inhibitor-komponenten. 2. Metode ifølge krav 1, hvor mindst én af den første og den anden koncentration er mindre end ca, 50% af dens MIC; eller hvor den første og den anden koncentration begge er mindre end ca. 75% af deres respektive MIC. 3. Metode ifølge krav 1, hvor mindst én af den første og den anden koncentration er mindre end ca. 25% af dens MIC, især hvor den første og den anden koncentration begge er mindre end ca. 50% af deres respektive MIC; eller hvor mindst én af den første og den anden koncentration er mindre end 20% af dens MIC, især hvor den første og den anden koncentration begge er mindre end ca. 35% af deres respektive MIC; eller hvor den anden koncentration ligger i området fra ca. 0,1 mM til ca. 5 mM, især hvor den første koncentration er mindre end ca. 50% af MIC af biocid-komponenten. 4. Metode ifølge krav 1, hvor biocid-komponenten er en kombination af mere end ét individuelt biocid, og/eller metabolisk inhibitor-komponenten er en kombination af mere end én individuel metabolisk inhibitor; eller hvor biocid-komponenten omfatter i det væsentlige intet tetrakishydroxymethylphosphoniumsulfat (THPS); eller biocidkomponenten er valgt blandt aldehyder, forbindelser af amin-typen, halogenerede forbindelser, svovlforbindelser, kvaternære phosphoniumsalte og kombinationer af en/et eller flere deraf. 5. Metode ifølge krav 1, hvor metabolisk inhibitor-komponenten er valgt blandt nitrit, molybdat, wolframat, selenat, anthraquinon og kombinationer af en/et eller flere deraf; eller hvor biocid-komponenten er valgt blandt formaldehyd, glutaraldehyd, acrolein, kvatemære aminforbindelser, kokosdiamin, bronopol, 2,2-dibrom-3-nitrilo-propionamid (DBNPA), isothiazolon, carbamater, metronidazol og kombinationer af en/et eller flere deraf, især hvor biocid-komponenten omfatter glutaraldehyd, og metabolisk inhibitor-komponenten omfatter nitrit, fortrinsvis hvor biocid-komponenten hovedsageligt består af glutaraldehyd, og metabolisk inhibitor-komponenten hovedsageligt består af nitrit. 6. Metode ifølge krav 1, hvor trin (a) indbefatter, at en første del af SRB direkte dræbes, og trin (b) indbefatter inhibering af sulfat-reducerende vækst af en anden del af SRB uden direkte at dræbe den anden del af SRB; eller hvor trinene (a) og (b) gennemføres i det væsentlige kontinuerligt, og den første og den anden koncentration er gennemsnitskoncentrationer over tid; eller hvor trinene (a) og (b) gennemføres med mellemrum, og den første og den anden koncentration er gennemsnitskoncentrationer over tid; eller hvor trinene (a) og (b) gennemføres samtidigt. 7. Metode ifølge krav 1, yderligere omfattende følgende trin: (c) forud for trinene (a) og (b) at forene biocid-komponenten eller et forstadie til biocid-komponenten og metabolisk inhibitor-komponenten eller et forstadie til metabolisk inhibitor-komponenten i et behandlet medium, især hvor trinene (a) og (b) indbefatter at bringe SRB i kontakt med det behandlede medium, eller hvor det behandlede medium er et vandbaseret medium, fortrinsvis hvor det behandlede medium omfatter mindst ca. 50 vægt-% vand, eller hvor det behandlede medium omfatter fra ca. 0,1 mM til ca. 5 mM nitrit, især hvor det behandlede medium omfatter fra ca. 0,1 mM til ca. 5 mM glutaraldehyd. 8. Metode omfattende at bringe sulfat-reducerende bakterier (SRB) i kontakt med et behandlet medium omfattende et aldehyd og en metabolisk inhibitor valgt blandt nitrit, molybdat, og kombinationer deraf, hvor aldehydet og den metaboliske inhibitor er til stede i det behandlede medium i et molforhold mellem aldehyd og metabolisk inhibitor i området fra ca. 50:1 til ca. 1:50. 9. Metode ifølge krav 8, hvor den metaboliske inhibitor omfatter nitrit, især hvor biocidet omfatter glutaraldehyd. 10. Metode ifølge krav 8, hvor molforholdet mellem aldehyd og metabolisk inhibitor ligger i området fra ca. 20:1 til ca. 1:20, især hvor molforholdet mellem aldehyd og metabolisk inhibitor ligger i området fra 10:1 til 1:10, hvor den metaboliske inhibitor hovedsageligt består af nitrit, og hvor biocidet hovedsageligt består af glutaraldehyd; eller hvor aldehydet og den metaboliske inhibitor hver især er til stede i det behandlede medium i en koncentration fra ca. 0,1 mM til ca. 5 mM, fortrinsvis 0,1 mM til ca. 2 mM, især hvor kontakten gennemføres i det væsentlige kontinuerligt eller med mellemrum, og koncentrationerne af aldehydet og metabolisk inhibitor i det behandlede medium er gennemsnitskoncentrationer over tid. 11. Metode ifølge krav 8, hvor aldehydet er til stede i den behandlede blanding i en første koncentration, som er mindre end ca. 90%, fortrinsvis mindre end ca. 50%, af minimumsinhiberingskoncentrationen (MIC) af aldehydet, og den metaboliske inhibitor er til stede i den behandlede blanding i en anden koncentration, som er mindre end ca. 90%, fortrinsvis mindre end ca. 50%, af MIC af den metaboliske inhibitor, især hvor mindst én af den første og den anden koncentration er mindre end ca. 35%, fortrinsvis mindre end 25%, især hvor aldehydet omfatter glutaraldehyd, og den metaboliske inhibitor omfatter nitrit, fortrinsvis hvor aldehydet hovedsageligt består af glutaraldehyd, og den metaboliske inhibitor hovedsageligt består af nitrit. 12. Præparat til effektiv inhibering af sulfidproduktion af sulfat-reducerende bakterier (SRB), hvilket præparat omfatter: (a) en biocid-komponent, der er i stand til direkte at dræbe en første del af SRB, hvor biocid-komponenten er til stede i præparatet i en første koncentration, som er mindre end ca. 90% af minimumsinhiberingskoncentrationen (MIC) af biocidkomponenten; og (b) en metabolisk inhibitorkomponent, der er i stand til at inhibere den sulfatreducerende vækst af en anden del af SRB uden direkte at dræbe den anden del af SRB, hvor metabolisk inhibitor-komponenten er til stede i præparatet i en anden koncentration, som er mindre end ca. 90% af MIC af metabolisk inhibitor-komponenten. 13. Præparat ifølge krav 12, hvor mindst én af den første og den anden koncentration er mindre end ca. 35% af dens MIC, især hvor den første og den anden koncentration begge er mindre end ca. 50% af deres respektive MIC; eller hvor mindst én af første og anden koncentration er mindre end 25% af dens MIC, især hvor den første og den anden koncentration begge er mindre end ca. 35% af deres respektive MIC. 14. Præparat ifølge krav 12, hvor biocid-komponenten og metabolisk inhibitorkomponenten er som defineret i krav 4 eller 5. 15. Præparat ifølge krav 12, yderligere omfattende mindst ca. 2 vægt-% vand, især mindst 50 vægt-% vand. 16. Præparat omfattende: (a) et aldehyd; og (b) en metabolisk inhibitor valgt blandt nitrit, molybdat og kombinationer deraf, hvor aldehydet og den metaboliske inhibitor er til stede i præparatet i et molforhold mellem aldehyd og metabolisk inhibitor fra ca. 50:1 til ca. 1:50. 17. Præparat ifølge krav 16, hvor den metaboliske inhibitor omfatter nitrit, især hvor aldehydet omfatter glutaraldehyd, især hvor aldehydet hovedsageligt består af gluta-raldehyd, og den metaboliske inhibitor hovedsageligt består af nitrit. 18. Præparat ifølge krav 16, hvor molforholdet mellem aldehyd og metabolisk inhibitor ligger i området fra ca. 20:1 til ca. 1:20, især hvor molforholdet mellem aldehyd og metabolisk inhibitor ligger i området fra 10:1 til 1:10, hvor den metaboliske inhibitor hovedsageligt består af nitrit, og hvor aldehydet hovedsageligt består af glutaraldehyd; eller aldehydet og den metaboliske inhibitor hver især er til stede i præparatet i en koncentration fra ca. 0,1 mM til ca. 5 mM, især fra ca. 0,1 mM til ca. 2 mM.
