1. Fremgangsmåde til brydning af en emulsion, hvor fremgangsmåden omfat- ter: at bringe en emulsion i kontakt med en demulgator, hvor demulgatoren er en dendrimer, der er funktionaliseret med et carboxylsyrederivat udvalgt fra grup- pen af polyoxyalkylenalkylethercarboxylsyrer; og at separere emulsionen i to forskellige faser.
2. Fremgangsmåde ifølge krav 1, hvor dendrimeren er udvalgt fra gruppen af polyesterpolyoler.
3. Fremgangsmåde ifølge krav 1, hvor den funktionaliserede dendrimer har en funktionaliseringsgrad på mindst 50 %.
4. Fremgangsmåde ifølge krav 1, hvor den funktionaliserede dendrimer har mindst en terminal hydroxylgruppe, der er esterificeret af carboxylsyrederiva- tet.

9. Fremgangsmåde ifølge et af kravene 1-8, hvor emulsionen er et carbonhy- dridfluid, der er produceret under ekstraktion af carbonhydrider fra en brønd, råolie, et råoliekondensat eller en kombination deraf.
