Den foreliggende opfindelse angår en fremgangsmåde til betjening af et borehul med en væske af høj vægtfylde for at opretholde et forhøjet tryk på i det mindste en del af en underjordisk formation, der er gennemtrængt af boret, ved at påføre 5 et hydrostatisk tryk på formationen ved at indsprøjte væsken med høj vægtfylde i borehullet, hvilken væske med høj vægtfylde omfatter en i hovedsagen faststoffri vandig opløsning af calciumbromid og zinkbrom id.
10 I mange borehuller, f.eks. efter olie, gas osv. kan det være ønskeligt at holde formationstrykket ved at anvende et hydrostatisk tryk. Dette kan være nødvendigt under presning af sandkonsolideringer, under gennemboringer, under borehulsafspærringer, under gruspakn i nger og lignende. Mange væsker, der 15 anvendes til betjening af borehuller, og som somme tider omtales som kompletteringsvæsker eller støttevæsker har været anvendt. Disse indbefatter f.eks. boreslam, saltvand, saltopløsninger, vand, olie, ZnC^-CaClj opløsning, CaCl2_CaBr2 opløsninger og lignende.

Boreslam er imidlertid ikke helt tilfredsstillende som væske til betjening af borehuller, fordi faste stoffer indeholdt i slammet ofte er tilbøjelige til at tilstoppe formationen. Selvom opløsninger af visse uorganiske salte er tilbøjelige 25 til at være partikelfri, er der andre vanskeligheder ved deres anvendelse som væsker til betjening af borehuller. De fleste uorganiske saltopløsninger, der almindeligt anvendes i borehuller i kystområdet ved den Mexikanske bugt i De forenede Stater er f.eks. lette væsker, der har høje krystal!isations-30 temperaturer (temperaturen ved hvilken faste stoffer først fremkommer i opløsningen ved opvarmning eller afkøling). Væsker på basis af natriumchlorid har f.eks. en vægtfylde fra 0,99 til ca. 1,17 g pr. cm3, opløsninger af calciumchlorid har en vægtfylde fra ca. 0,99 til ca. 1,38 g pr. cm3, opløsninger 35 af calciumchlorid og zinkchlorid har en vægtfylde fra ca. 1,38 til 1,68 g pr. cm3 og opløsninger af CaCl2 og CaBr2 har vægtfylder fra ca. 1,39 til ca. 1,81 g pr. cm3.

2 I de senere år har dybere højtryksboringer resulteret i et behov for borehulsbetjeningsvæsker, der er fri for faste stoffer, og som har højere vægtfylder end de, der i øjeblikket står til rådighed. Dette gælder især for boringer i den Mexikanske j 5 Bugt (ud for kysten af Louisiana). Hydrostatiske tryk højere end normalt kræver her ofte borehulsbetjeningsvæsker, der har vægtfylder over 1,8 g pr. cm3 og krystallisationspunkter under ] ca. 10°C.
10 Fremgangsmåden ifølge opfindelsen er ejendommelig ved, at opløsningen har en vægtfylde større end 2,16 g pr. cm3 og et krystallisationspunkt mindre end 10°C, samt at vægtforholdet mellem calciumbromid og zinkbromid fra 0,5:1 til 0,2:1.
15 Den tunge borehulsbetjeningsvæske, der anvendes ifølge opfindelsen består i det væsentlige af en i hovedsagen faststoffri vandig opløsning af calciumbromid og zinkbromid. Mængderne af calciumbromid og zinkbromid opløst i den vandige opløsning kan variere afhængende af den endeligt ønskede vægtfylde. Calcium-20 bromid og zinkbromid skal imidlertid være til stede i til strækkelige mængder til at give en borehulsbetjeningsvæske med en vægtfylde på mindst ca. 2,16 g pr. cm3.
Vægtfylden af den vandige borehulsbetjeningsvæske reguleres 25 ved at anvende varierende mængder af calciumbromid og zink bromid. Ved en vægtfylde på ca. 2,29 g pr. cm3 indeholder bo-rehulsbetjeningsvæsken, f.eks. ca. 57 vægt% zinkbromid og ca.
20 vægt% calciumbromid, idet resten udgøres af vand. De mængder calciumbromid og zinkbromid, som kræves for at opnå enhver 30 anden ønsket vægtfylde, kån bestemmes ved simple laboratoriemetoder.
Foruden calciumbromid og zinkbromid kan mindre mængder (mindre end ca. 1 vægt%) af andre vandopløselige materialer eventuelt 35 anvendes i den vandige opløsning til borehulsbetjeningen.
Disse materialer indbefatter f.eks. korrosionsinhibitorer, såsom triethanolamin, propargylal kohol, pyridin og dets deriva- 3

ter og lignende, midler til indstilling af viskositeten, som f.eks. hydroxymethylcel1ulose, pH-regulerende baser, såsom zinkoxid, calciumhydroxid og lignende. Til nogle formål kan det være ønskeligt at blande calciumbromid-zinkbromidopløsnin-5 gen med andre uorganiske saltopløsninger for at indstille den endelige vægtfylde af borehulsbetjeningsvæsken. Uorganiske salte, der er egnede til sådan anvendelse indbefatter f.eks. natriumchlorid, calciumbromid, blandinger deraf og lignende. I en udføre!sesform foretrækkes det at blande en calciumbromid-10 zinkbromidopløsning, som har en vægtfylde på ca. 2,30 g pr. cm3, med en vandig calciumchlorid-calciumbromidopløsning, som har en vægtfylde på ca. 1,80 g pr. cm3.
Ved den praktiske udførelse af opfindelsen vil vægtfylden af 15 calciumbromid-zinkbromidopløsningen, der skal anvendes til betjening af et givet borehul afhænge af sådanne overvejelser som dybden af borehullet, trykket i borehullet, hvor betjeningsvæsken anvendes og lignende. I almindelighed foretrækkes det at anvende en vandig calciumbromid-zinkbromidopløsning, 20 som har en vægtfylde fra 2,16 til 2,40 g pr. cm3.
Fremgangsmåder til betjening af borehuller, der kan forbedres ved at praktisere den foreliggende opfindelses principper indbefatter f.eks. gennemboringsbehandlinger, konsol ider ingsbe-25 handlinger, midlertidig indstilling (afspærring af borehullet) og lignende. Velkendt teknik og udstyr kan anvendes til at indsprøjte, fastholde, returnere og på anden måde regulere den vandige opløsning ifølge opfindelsen. Eksempler på betjeningsteknik, hvor den vandige opløsning ifølge den foreliggende op-30 findelse kan anvendes beskrives f.eks. i de amerikanske pa tenter nr. 2.894.584, 2.898.294 og 3.126.950.
Den vandige calciumbromid-zinkbromidopløsning kan sammensættes på forskelige måder for at opnå den ønskede vægtfylde. F.eks.
35 kan vandige opløsninger af calciumbromid og zinkbromid sam menblandes. Alternativt kan fast calciumbromid eller zinkbromid sættes til en vandig opløsning af calciumbromid eller en 4 DK 16Ί777 Β j | vandig opløsning af zinkbromid for at indstille opløsningen til den ønskede vægtfylde. Ved en tredje fremgangsmåde kan en vandig opløsning indeholdende både calciumbromid og zinkbromid fortyndes ved tilsætning af en vandig opløsning af calciumbro-5 mid. En særlig teknik til fremstilling af den vandige opløsning, som uventet formindsker de vægt% af zinkbromid, som kræves til at opnå en given vægtfylde, omfatter reaktion af hydrogenbromid med zink eller en zinkforbindelse til dannelse af zinkbromid i nærværelse af vand og calciumbromid. Ethvert 10 zinkmateriale, som kan reagere med hydrogenbromid til dannelse af zinkbromid kan anvendes. Egnede materialer indbefatter metallisk zink, zinkcarbonat, zinkhydroxid og zinkoxid. Det foretrukne zinkmateriale er zinkoxid. En vandig opløsning af hydrogenbromid kan anvendes, men det foretrækkes at anvende i 15 hovedsagen vandfri hydrogenbromid for at formindske mængden af vand i systemet.
Reaktionen udføres i almindelighed ved en temperatur, der er tilstrækkelig til at forhindre for stort tab af vand fra reak-20 tionsblandingen. En temperatur fra ca. 50 til ca. 150°C har vist sig tilfredsstillende. Det har også vist sig fordelagtigt at filtrere opløsningen efter reaktionen for at fjerne uønskede faste stoffer, dvs. ureagerede zinkforbindelser eller urenheder i calciumbromidopløsningen.
25 pH-værdien af den færdige, vandige borehulsbetjeningsvæske skal fortrinsvis være tilstrækkelig til at forhindre udfældning af zinkholdige forbindelser og også tilstrækkelig til at forhindre for voldsom korrosion af borehullet. En pH-værdi fra 30 ca. 5 til ca. 6 har vist sig ti If redssti 1-lende og foretrækkes.
Det kan således i nogle tilfælde være ønskeligt, hvor der har været anvendt overskud af hydrogenbromid til dannelse af væsken at tilsætte tilstrækkelige mængder af en egnet vandopløselig base for at holde det rigtige pH-niveau. Egnede baser 35 indeholder zink og/eller calciumkationer og kan inkludere sådanne forbindelser som zinkoxid, calciumhydroxid, calciumcar-bonat og lignende.
Claims (7)
1. Fremgangsmåde til betjening af borehul med en væske af høj 5 vægtfylde for at opretholde et forhøjet tryk på i det mindste en del af en underjordisk formation, der er gennemtrængt af boret, ved at påføre et hydrostatisk tryk på formationen ved at indsprøjte væsken med høj vægtfylde i borehullet, hvilken væske med høj vægtfylde omfatter en i hovedsagen faststoffri 10 vandig opløsning af calciumbromid og zinkbromid, kendetegnet ved, at opløsningen har en vægtfylde større end 2,16 g pr. cm3 og et krystall isationspunkt mindre end 10°C, samt at vægtforholdet mellem calciumbromid og zinkbromid er fra 0,5:1 til 0,2:1. 15
2. Fremgangsmåde ifølge krav 1, kendetegnet ved, at vægtfylden af opløsningen er ca. 2,4 g pr. cm3.
3. Fremgangsmåde ifølge krav 1 eller 2, kendetegnet 20 ved, at den i hovedsagen faststoffrie vandige opløsning blandes med en anden uorganisk vandig saltopløsning valgt af gruppen bestående af natriumchlorid, calciumchlorid, calciumbromid og blandinger deraf, hvorefter det blandede materiale indsprøjtes i borehullet til opretholdelse af et forhøjet tryk 25 på i det mindste en del af formationen, der er gennemtrængt af borehullet.
4. Fremgangsmåde ifølge et af de foregående krav, kendetegnet ved, at der til den vandige opløsning sættes an- 30 dre vandopløselige materialer valgt blandt korrosionsinhibitorer, viskositetsregulerende midler, pH-regu1 erende baser eller blandinger deraf, hvilke andre materialer findes i mængder mindre end ca. 1 vægt% af opløsningen, og at det blandede materiale derefter indsprøjtes i borehullet for at opretholde 35 et forhøjet tryk på i det mindste en del af formationen, der er gennemtrængt af borehullet.
