Abstract

Beverage comprising xanthohumol (at least 2 parts per million (ppm)) and an emulsifier is new. Independent claims are also included for: (1) xanthohumol base for preparing the beverage, comprising xanthohumol (at least 10 parts per million )ppm)) and an emulsifier; (2) production of the xanthohumol base by mixing xanthohumol or a xanthohumol-containing extract with an emulsifier (meltable or dissolved in a solvent), forming an isotropic solution (optionally with heating and stirring), removing the solvent by distillation and optionally adding other ingredients; (3) production of the beverage by adding a plant extract, water, acid, sugar, a beverage and/or a beverage concentrate to the xanthohumol base; (4) oil-in-water emulsion for preparing the xanthohumol base.
