Abstract

Prefabricated wall element made of wood comprises a sill (1), a post (2, 3) at each end, and an upper horizontal plate (4) forming a frame. A long tongue (5, 6, 7) is fixed to the upper side of the sill, the under side of the plate and the side of the first post (3). The tongue of the first post extends over its entire free length. The tongues of the sill and the plate are shorter than the free length of the sill and the plate and form a free space (8) opposite the first post. Vertical boards inserted in the frame through the free space have a groove in their sides for receiving the tongues. A separate tongue is inserted between adjacent boards. The free space is completely filled with the boards.
