Abstract

A wall construction for wet rooms comprises a wall covering and a frame system designed to be erected against an existing wall. The construction according to the invention is characterized in that the frame construction comprises a top horizontal element 2 arranged with a downward-facing U-shaped channel 3 and a bottom horizontal element 4 arranged with an upward- facing U-shaped channel 5, in that vertical elements 8 extend between the top and the bottom elements, which vertical elements are provided with two rabbets 9, 10 facing away from one another, in that all the U-shaped channels lie at a distance from that part of the top, the bottom and the vertical elements 2, 4, 8 which is designed to lie closest to a wall lying behind. The wall construction also comprises wall-mounting arrangements 20 designed to secure the frame elements 2, 4, 8 against the wall 1 lying behind and to hold the vertical elements 8 at a distance from the wall 1. The wall construction also comprises water- and moisture-impermeable panels designed to be inserted into and secured by said U-shaped channels 3, 4, 9, 10.
