Abstract

Despite the use of a reflector (5) for directing the light, it is the aim in an outdoor-lighting fitting having a transparent lighting fitting housing (1) to obtain the visual outward appearance when the light source (3) is switched on in a manner adapted to the outward appearance in daytime, and to obtain in the event of a sufficiently high proportion of light directed onto a working surface as uniform as possible a distribution of brightness on the surface of the lighting fitting housing (1). This is achieved by using for the body of the reflector (5) a cloudy, translucent carrier material which is evaporated on with a partially transmitting reflective layer in the visual wavelength region.
