Abstract
The inventive protection circuit has a control element ( mu c) which triggers an actuating member (V) with a trigger signal (V1). During normal operation, said control element ( mu c) periodically emits a start/reset signal at predetermined intervals. A watchdog circuit (RG, EV) is also provided. In the event that there is no start signal or reset signal, or if the reset signal is delayed, said watchdog circuit (RG, EV) produces a block signal (Res) to the control element ( mu c) and blocks a release signal (En) for the actuating member (V). The block on said release signal (En) for the actuating member (V) is then cleared after a time delay.
