Abstract

The mould has a wall recess (14) which is open at the top and is provided in the upper entry area of the mould chamber. The recess forms, with the wall face, a recess edge (18) which is parallel to the inclined or curved edge section of the die (7). A guide face produced by parallel movement of the recess edge is provided as part of the surface of the wall recess and comes into linear contact with the inclined or curved edge section of the plunger so that the die is horizontally centred upon entry.
