Abstract

The doorframe consists of two vertical uprights (1,1') and a transverse beam (2) which is joined to the uprights by an angle joint (22). The angle joint only extends over part of the width of the frame so that a stop face is formed which prevents relative movement of the parts of the frame. Decorative trim is fitted to either side of the frame where it is mounted in a wall. The trim is fitted to the frame with a tongue, which runs the length of the trim, and a groove in the doorframe.
