Abstract

In the gas heat exchanger fluid flows through the intermediate space (16) between the outer chamber (14) and the combustion chamber (10). Within the cover (24) of the combustion chamber, formed as heat protection shield, are apertures (26) at the points at which the heat exchanger tubes (20) issue. Around the outer wall (30) of the oven space (18) is a guide channel (28), which is formed with the intermediate space between the outer wall (32) of the combustion chamber and the outer chamber. Ambient air is blown Into the intermediate space by a fan. This air extends over the hot outer wall of the combustion chamber and is thereby heated. The heated air flows through the guide channel around the outer walling of the oven space, providing an additional heating for the oven space.
