Valve to control or regulate fluid flow. 2.1 The intention is, by means of a valve, which has a passage for the fluid in which is arranged a valve element which can be rotated by means of an actuating device, to regulate or control a volume flow over a wide range in linear dependence on the rotational movement of the valve element, with a small pressure loss and independently of the inlet pressure. 2.2 The valve element has an aperture which is designed in such a way that its cross-section of passage changes as a third degree function in dependence on the angle of rotation when the valve element is rotated. <IMAGE>
