Abstract
A measuring device for determining the flow of fluids consists of a housing (2) having two distributor chambers (3; 4), and of a measuring tube (1), which hydraulically connects the distributor chambers (3; 4), is arranged between two measuring transducers (5; 6) and is centred onto the measuring transducers (5; 6) by means of baffles (11; 12). The response characteristic of the measuring tube (1) is independent of the reflectivity of the inner wall of the measuring tube (1) if the length (L) thereof is shorter than half the reflection distance characterising a waveguide. Dimensioning principles are specified for the length (L).
