Abstract

The bowl (10) of the head (8) of a tobacco pipe is provided as a whole with a heat-conductive lining (4), which extends through a narrow point (3a) at the transition from the bowl (10) to the tubular stem (7). The lining preferably consists of a metal coating, in particular of an aluminium foil. In an advantageous development, an essentially spherical body (9) made from heat-retaining material, such as light expanded clay aggregate, is arranged in a widening of the tubular stem behind the narrow point (3a) and is in contact with the lining (4) in some areas. The whole pipe may consist of a conical wound body (1) of paper, which integrally forms the head (8) and the stem tube (7), the narrow point (3a) being pressed in, in the form of a notch, and the head (8) being angled at that point relative to the stem tube (7). <IMAGE>
