Verfahren zur Herstellung von Gegenständen aus Leichtmetallen, insbesondere aus Aluminium oder AluminiumlegierungenProcess for the production of objects from light metals, in particular from aluminum or aluminum alloys
mit mehrfarbiger oxydischer Oberflächewith a multicolored oxide surface
Zusatz zum Patent 937 682Addendum to patent 937 682
The invention relates to a method for producing objects made of light metal, in particular Made of aluminum or aluminum alloy, with a multicolored oxide surface, in particular electrolytically oxidized surface.
Its purpose is to improve the invention on which patent 937,682 is based.
According to the main patent 937 682, the procedure is that the object with a continuous provided the same colored oxide layer, then passivated, z. B. covered with a layer of paraffin, thereupon the oxide layer produced first at the points desired in a different color removed, e.g. B. abraded, then the object again the oxidation with a different coloring and finally, if necessary after repeating the passivation and the Oxidation, the passivation coating e.g. B. is eliminated with hot water.
Haupterfindungsgemäß werden also die in der ersten Arbeitsstufe in üblicher Weise oxydierten, gefärbten und nachverdichteten Flächen einerAccording to the main invention, the oxidized in the first work stage in the usual way, colored and compacted surfaces of a

Passivierung unterzogen, ζ. Subjected to passivation, ζ. B. provided with a paraffin coating to protect them from being attacked in the second stage, that is, when oxidizing the surfaces desired in a different color. The passivation coating must then be removed again later. It has now been found that the passivation of the oxidized surfaces can be dispensed with by carrying out the two oxidation processes under different conditions, e.g. B. be carried out at different bath temperatures, preferably the post-oxidation is carried out at a lower bath temperature of 8 to 14 0 C, for example. In accordance with the invention, the procedure is such that the object is provided with an oxide layer of the same color throughout, then the oxide layer thus produced is removed at the points desired in a different color, e.g. B. abraded, and thereupon the object under changed working conditions, advantageously : at ι reduced ^ bath temperature, is again subjected to the oxidation with a different color.
The invention is as far as the use of different bath temperatures is concerned, the Eras knowledge that oxide layers, which are generated at different bath temperatures, are differentiate in structure and density. It assumes that an oxide layer is more definite Structure is not adversely affected when exposed to an oxidation process which, using a different working temperature, is used. ' Generation of an oxide. layer of a different structure is carried out.
The additional invention brings the progress that in the manufacture of light metal, z. B. aluminum objects with a multicolored oxidic surface at least two operations, namely passivation and removal of the passivation coating are not necessary. It. is also that. Manufacturing effort reduced in terms of time and resources.
