Es ist bekannt, dass natürliche Puzzolane, wie Trass und Tuffstein, latente Binder darstellen, die ohne Zumischung eines Anregers nicht erhärten. Als Anreger wurden bisher Zement, Kalk, Gips usw., also Stoffe verwendet, die bei ihrer Herstellung gebrannt werden mussten. Der Erfinder hat mit der als Abfallprodukt bekannten Braunkohlenfilterasche Versuche zur Anregung natürlicher Puzzolane unternommen, die gute Resultate zeigten. Die Mischung von Puzzolan und Braunkohlenfilterasche erfolgt im Verhältnis 1 : 1 bis 1 : 10 je nach den verlangten Eigenschaften des Endproduktes. Es ergibt sich, dass die Puzzolane im Verhältnis der Beimischung von Braunkohlenfilterasche schneller oder langsamer mit guter Druckfestigkeit erhärten. Die hydraulischen Eigenschaften der so hergestellten Bindemittel sind ausgezeichnet. Die Eigenschaften werden noch gesteigert, wenn die Puzzolane vorher zu grösster Feinheit gemahlen werden. Auch kann die Braunkohlenfilterasche in Verbindung mit bisher bekannten Anregern verwendet werden. Die Bindemittel sind geeignet in Verbindung mit Zuschlagstoffen, wie Sand und Kies, ähnlich wie Zement verarbeitet zu werden.It is known that natural pozzolans, such as trass and tuff, represent latent binders which do not harden without adding an activator. The binders are suitable for processing in connection with aggregates such as sand and gravel, similar to cement.
