   Bis jetzt ist der Grund der   Erlangung   der vorteilhaften Ergebnisse im Vergleich zu dem wertlosen Produkt, das. durch die Verwendung von   Wasserglaslösungen   erhalten wird, zwar nicht genau erkannt, es scheint aber, dass bei Verwendung der Lösung die Hydratisierung des Zements unterbrochen und schliesslich kaum mehr erhalten wird als eine Masse von   Zementkörnern,   die durch das Silikat lose zusammengehalten werden. Verwendet man aber lösliches Silikatpulver, so hat das Wasser Zeit, die Hydratisierung des Zements einzuleiten, bevor das Silikat in Lösung zu gehen beginnt ; das nachher gelöste Silikat verbindet sich mit dem frei gemachten Caleiumhydroxyd zu Calciumsilikat. 



   Das nach der oberwähnten Patentschrift hergestellte Silikatpulver kann 10-30% Wasser enthalten, obgleich es nach Aussehen und Gefüge ein vollkommen trockenes Pulver darstellt. Man kann daher die Abbindezeit innerhalb vieler Grenzen ändern, da, wie schon bemerkt, diese Zeit sich mit der im Pulver enthaltenen Wassermenge ändert. 



     PATENT-ANSPRÜCHE   :
1. Gemisch zur Herstellung von Beton oder Mörtel, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass es aus Portlandzement oder hydraulischem Kalk besteht, die im trockenen Zustande mit einem Pulver von kolloidalem, leicht wasserlöslichem Alkalisilikat vermischt sind, das zweckmässig nach dem Verfahren der Patentschrift Nr. 82544 hergestellt wurde.

   The silicate powder produced according to the above-mentioned patent specification can contain 10-30% water, although it is a completely dry powder in terms of appearance and structure. You can therefore change the setting time within many limits, since, as already noted, this time changes with the amount of water contained in the powder.
