Die heute bekannten magnetischen Schallträger, welche die Magnetogrammträgermasse in oder auf Trägerschichten aus Kunststoff, filmförmigen, papierförmigen oder sonstigen nichtmagnetisierbaren Massen enthalten, haben den Nachteil, dass bei dem Löschen des Schallträgers leicht ein Durchlöschen des Schallträgers eintritt, sodass bei dem Löschen eines Schallträgers, wenn derselbe doppelseitig bespielbar ist, nicht nur die Seite, an der der Löschkopf vorbeigleitet, gelöscht wird, sondern auch die andere Seite, weil das magnetische Löschfeld durch den Schallträger hindurchgegriffen hat. Dies kann in vielen Fällen unerwünscht sein. Für diesen Fall werden gemäss der Erfindung die beiden Magnetogrammträgerschichten eines doppelseitig bespielbaren Schallträgers durch eine magnetisch abschirmende Zwischenschicht getrennt.
