Es ist bereits vorgeschlagen worden, das Bedrucken von Textilien mit lithographischen Offsetdruckmaschinen durchzuführen. Bei den zu diesem Zwecke benutzten Maschinen wird in üblicher Weise die Farbe von der Platte auf eienn Gummizylinder übertragen, der mit einem Widerdruckzylinder zusammenarbeitet, und die zu bedruckende Stoffbahn wird zwischen dem Widerdruck- und Gummizylinder hindurchgeschickt und erhält hierdurch das Druckbild. Da der Stoffdruck meist mehrfarbig ist, wurden auch Mehrfarbenmaschinen entwickelt, bei denen der Widerdruckzylinder von entsprechend vielen Druckwerken (z.B. für 4 Farben) in der oben angeführten Art umgeben ist. Die Stoffbahn läuft dann um den Widerdruckzylinder herum und erhält so nacheinander die vier Farben.
