Es ist bekannt, Keilriemen aus Gummi mit Textileinlagen oder sonstige Antriebsschnüre zum äusseren Schutz und zur Festigung des Gefüges mit diagonal geschnittenen gummierten Gewebeumlagen zu versehen. Es ist auch bekannt, solche Keilriemen oder Schnüre zum gleichen Zweck mit einem oder mehreren Geflechten aus Baumwoll-, Kunstseide-, Zellwolle- oder ähnlichen Garnen zu umkleiden. Dies geschieht mittels einer der bekannten Flechtmaschinen, wie sie in der Kabel- und Gummiindustrie gebräuchlich sind. Auf diese Weise können aber nur Riemen in endlicher Länge hergestellt werden, für deren Verwendung als Antrieb eine Schlossverbindung erforderlich ist, nicht aber solche in geschlossener Form, sogenannte endlose Keilriemen, wie sie für die meisten Antriebszwecke notwendig sind, z.B. für Kraftfahrzeuge als Ventilatorriemen. Solche endlose Riemen werden, wie eingangs erwähnt, in einem umständlichen Verfahren mit diagonal geschnittenen gummierten Gewebeumlagen versehen.It is known to provide V-belts made of rubber with textile inserts or other drive cords for external protection and to strengthen the structure with diagonally cut rubberized fabric layers. Gegenstand der vorliegenden Erfindung ist eine Flechtmaschine, bei der die Garnspulen in üblicher Weise auf einer Achterbahn aneinander vorbeigeführt werden (siehe Zeichnung 1). Neu ist an dieser Maschine, dass der Spulenkranz in der Mitte bei c geteilt ist in einen feststehenden Teil a und in einen abziehbaren Teil b. Die Abziehbarkeit des beweglichen Teiles b ermöglicht es, den endlosen Riemen bei c in die Flechtmaschine einzuführen und nach erfolgter Umflechtung durch Öffnung des Spulenkranzes bei c wieder herauszunehmen. Gegenüber dem bisherigen umständlichen Verfahren des Umwickelns mit gewebten Stoffumlagen besteht ein technischer Fortschritt durch Einsparung von Handarbeit und umfangreichem Trommelmaterial. Die Maschine ermöglicht ausserdem auch die Herstellung von geflochtenen Schnüren nunmehr auch in endloser Form. Der Patentanspruch erstreckt sich auch auf die mittels dieser Maschine hergestellten endlosen Keilriemen (siehe Zeichnung 2) und Schnüre.The subject of the present invention is a braiding machine in which the yarn bobbins are guided past one another on a roller coaster in the usual way (see drawing 1). 1) Braiding machine for braiding and braiding endless V-belts and cords, characterized in that one half of the bobbin ring can be removed so that the bobbin ring can be opened.
