Description
The invention relates to a method for producing sintered magnetizable cores from manganese ferrite, such as are used in high-frequency technology, in particular for high-frequency coils. Such cores can be produced by mixing iron and manganese compounds, preferably oxides, the desired cores being formed by pressing one or more times, and the compacts then being subjected to a sintering process. In this way, cores can be achieved which also have sufficient mechanical strength.
At Mangan : 1 g At Eisen ausgeht. It has been shown that manganese ferrites, which are manufactured by mixing, pressing and sintering pure or slightly contaminated starting materials, result in a relatively high electrical quality of high-frequency coils equipped with such cores if a mixture of about 0.2 g of manganese is used: 1 g of iron to about 0.35 g of manganese: 1 g of iron runs out. The quality means the ratio of the inductive reactance to the effective resistance of a coil equipped with such a magnetizable core at a suitable measuring frequency. While the quality is relatively high with a mixing ratio of 0.2 to 0.35 g of manganese: 1 g of iron, a low quality is obtained in the range of about 0.35 g to 0.7 g of manganese: 1 g of iron Goodness, but on the other hand a high permeability. The invention is based on the object of creating magnetizable sintered cores in which there is a high permeability, but on the other hand there is also a high quality in the case of high-frequency iron coils.
It has been found that the quality of the cores increases considerably if the iron oxide used for the starting mixture, which contains different amounts of bound water depending on the material used, is heated to high temperatures in air for about 1 hour before mixing. The starting mixture can contain about 2-10 percent by weight of residues insoluble in aqua regia, preferably silica, in finely divided form.
Based on this knowledge, the invention consists in that for the production of sintered magnetizable cores from manganese ferrite with a mixing ratio of about 0.35 g At Manganese: 1 g At iron to about 0.7 g At Manganese: 1 g At iron, the ferrite is made by sintering the mixed and then compressed oxides, for example, by pressing, the iron oxide prior to mixing or the mixture is heated for some time to about 600 to 900 °, preferably 850 ° C. It is expedient to heat for about 1 hour at the temperatures mentioned.
