DEUTSCHES PATENTAMTGERMAN PATENT OFFICE
The production of poorly soluble phosphates in various ways is already known. In such a method, for example, sparingly soluble phosphates based on silica glass are produced in that. a mixture from 50 to 80 percent by weight of sand or other silica, 20 to 50 percent by weight of sodium oxide in the form of sodium carbonate and 1 to 12%. Phosphorus pentoxide in the form of phosphoric acid or the like. Is melted. The product obtained, which is intended to be used for water treatment, So contains over 50 vol of silica and proportionately small amounts of phosphate.
Ein weiteres bekanntes Verfahren zur Herstellung schwerlöslicher Phosphate besteht darin..Another known method of manufacture poorly soluble phosphates consists of ..
Also other chemically well-defined poorly soluble ones. Phosphates such as B. aluminum phosphate or uranium phosphate have already been described. However, this practice adds value established that the products are chemically fully identified compounds that do not contain silica included because ·. this as undesirable for the intended purpose of water treatment, mentation. is, while the first-mentioned known method is also. of chemical.

: 5 , Es sind aucbp andere kieselsäurehaltige Phosphate bekannitgewo'rden:, beispielsweise der Zusammensetzung 45,9% Na2O, 45,9% P2O5 und 8,2%< SiO2, über deren Hersitelktög allerdings nichts ausgesagt wird.identified raw materials, but leads to phosphate glasses with a predominant content of silicic acid, namely 50 to 80%, and only a little phosphorus pentoxide, namely up to i "2%.: 5, There are also other silicic acid-containing phosphates known :, for example the composition 45.9% Na 2 O, 45.9% P 2 O 5 and 8.2% <SiO 2 , but nothing is said about the Hersitelktög.
The invention is based on the fact that a content of silica in sparingly soluble phosphates For the various purposes it doesn’t bother, but is actually beneficial can be, and that the product is by no means a precisely defined chemical compound needs to be, however, dej. Phosphate content is moderately higher than with the known phosphate glasses. The method according to the invention works therefore from natural rock phosphates, which are known to have a more or less high content may have on silica. Such a rock phosphate is according to the invention with Alkali phosphates melted together and the melt solidified. This creates a transparent glass-like product that is sparingly soluble in water and can be used, for example, as an additive suitable for drilling fluids to increase the pumping ability of clay can be used advantageously in those cases where the effect of the polymeric phosphates is important to be maintained over a longer period of time. It is known that poly- or metaphosphates, for example, hydrolyze in the course of a long time, especially at high temperatures, and those at the same time.
entstehenden Orthophosphate sind unwirksam.resulting orthophosphates are ineffective.
Finally, it is also known to use calcined phosphates, e.g. B. Rhenania phosphate, Thomas flour, or a product obtained by melting rock phosphate to use, but the products according to the invention contain a higher P 2 O 5 content due to the addition of the alkali metal phosphate when melting, and the melting process takes place at about 800 to 900 0 , while rock phosphate alone has a melting point of around 1200 0 . As a result, the process according to the invention can be carried out in ordinary furnaces, while specially designed furnaces are required for melting rock phosphate alone.
The products manufactured by the process of the invention do not have a uniform composition, because the raw phosphate used is known to have a fluctuating composition. The connections created during melting of the end product are also not clearly clarified.
Die Meta- und Polyphosphate sind gut löslich; das unter Verwendung von Rohphosphat hergestellteThe phosphate melted together from rock phosphate and alkali orthophosphate is different also differ from the usual phosphates, such as glassy sodium metaphosphate or polyphosphate, essentially due to the different solubility. The meta- and polyphosphates are readily soluble; that made using rock phosphate

; , ' " ',; ;. i [.. Product, on the other hand, is extremely difficult to dissolve, namely at around 2 to 3 mg per liter in the flow. The heating time during melting does not play an essential role, since the material is melted and accordingly acidic pyrophosphate cannot be formed. The phosphate bodies formed are likely to be metaphosphates !; . ; , '"',;;. i [..
As a result of the use of different rock phosphate and the presence of not precisely defined phosphates in the end product, it is possible to adjust the necessary P 2 O 5 content in the end product depending on the type of water to be treated.
