Description
Bei Ultraschallgeräten, z.B. für die Zwecke der medizinischen Therapie, wird bei der Umwandlung von elektrischer Hochfrequenzleistung in akustische Ultraschalleistung infolge unvermeidbarer Verluste Wärme frei, die durch besondere Kühlmaßnahmen abzuführen ist, um eine zuverlässige hohe Erwärmung des Schallkopfes zu verhindern. Die Kühlung kann z.B. durch den Umlauf einer Kühlflüssigkeit (Wasser oder Öl) bewirkt werden, die mittels einer Umlaufpumpe oder durch ähnliche Einrichtungen erfolgen kann. Eine zu intensive Kühlung hat den Nachteil, dass z.B. bei der medizinischen Ultraschallbehandlung die Kälte des Schallkopfes dem Patienten lästig ist oder dass der Temperaturbereich für eine optimale Arbeitsweise des Gerätes unterschritten wird.With ultrasound devices, e.g. for the purposes of medical therapy, when electrical high-frequency power is converted into acoustic ultrasound power, heat is released due to unavoidable losses, which must be dissipated by special cooling measures in order to prevent the transducer from heating up reliably. Erfindungsgemäss wird daher vorgeschlagen, die Kühlung von Ultraschallgeräten regelbar zu machen, um eine günstige Schallkopftemperatur auch bei verschiedenen Verlustleistungen zu erhalten. Die Regulierung der Kühlung kann z.B. durch ein Regelventil in der Kühlmittelleitung oder durch Regeln der Kühlpumpe erfolgen. Die Regelung der Kühlung lässt sich mit dem Leistungsregler des Ultraschallgerätes kombinieren in der Weise, dass beim Ändern der abgegebenen Ultraschalleistung die Kühlung gleichzeitig entsprechend nachgestellt wird. Die Kühlung kann auch mit Hilfe einer Temperaturanzeige, z.B. eines elektrischen Fernthermometers überwacht oder durch ein temperaturempfindliches Organ selbsttätig geregelt werden.
