Tag der Anmeldung: 26. August 1954 Bekanntgemacht am 7. Juni 1956Registration date: August 26, 1954. Advertised on June 7, 1956
DEUTSCHES PATENTAMTGERMAN PATENT OFFICE
It is known that from sugar-containing aqueous solutions, especially molasses, the The sugar contained therein can be obtained by adding methanol to the molasses Addition of acid, especially sulphurous acid, treated, sugar together with non-sugar components is felled.
However, as is known, this method has considerable disadvantages, in particular that sugar is precipitated with part of the non-sugar substances. In addition, the special when using. molasses containing invert sugar makes up part of the total sugar lost after precipitation with methanol, since the invert sugar remains in solution.
It is known to invert molasses with SO 2 under pressure.
Das Inversionsmittel wurde bei diesem Verfahren nicht zurückgewonnen, und die invertierteA process has also become known for inverting the molasses with hydrogen chloride and expel volatile contaminants by evaporation, the volume of the liquid is kept constant by topping up with water. The inversion mean was used in this procedure not recovered, and the inverted

Molasses was not completely evaporated to dryness again.
Already fermented molasses was treated with alkaline earth oxide and hydroxides and alcohol.
A further known method for Precipitation of sugar from molasses was not applicable for inverted molasses as after this A 'learned invert sugar remains dissolved. After this ίο procedure the non-sugar ingredients were with Alcohol precipitated.
Demgegenüber besteht das erfindungsgemäße Verfahren aus folgenden Schritten:In contrast, there is the inventive Procedure consisting of the following steps:
a) Invertierung der mit Wasser im Verhältnis von z.B. 1:2 verdünnten Melasse unter SO2-Atmosphäre mit etwa ■' 7 °/o S O2, bezogen auf das Lösungsgewicht, bei 2 bis 10 atü Druck und 50 bis 8o° C Temperatur.a) Inversion of the molasses diluted with water in a ratio of, for example, 1: 2 under an SO 2 atmosphere with about 7% SO 2 , based on the weight of the solution, at 2 to 10 atmospheres pressure and 50 to 80 ° C temperature.
b) Eindampfen der invertierten Lösung zur Trockne in hohem Vakuum bei 40 bis 500C Temperatur. b) Evaporation of the inverted solution to dryness in a high vacuum at 40 to 50 0 C temperature.
c) Herauslösen des Zuckers durch eine ausreichende Menge eines niederen Alkohols, wie Methanoi, bei einem pH von vorzugsweise 7, unter mehrstündigem Rühren und eventuellem gelindem Erwärmen auf 30 bis 400 C sowie Abfiltrieren von den ungelöst verbliebenen Nichtzuckerstoffen.c) dissolution of the sugar by a sufficient amount of a lower alcohol such as Methanoi, at a p H of preferably 7, under stirring for several hours and possible slight heating to 30 to 40 0 C and filtering off the undissolved remaining non-sugars.
d) Reinigung des Filtrats in bekannter Weise, insbesondere unter Verwendung von Kationen- und Ani.on.en- oder Entfärbungsaustauschern,d) Purification of the filtrate in a known manner, in particular using cations and Ani.on.- or decolorization exchangers,
By using sulphurous acid for inversion of the diluted molasses is also still achieved the further advantage that the sulfurous acid in the subsequent evaporation of the Solution to dryness is removed with. It is then no longer necessary to perform the inversion . related acid through a special precipitation reaction and filtration for separation bring.
Another advantageous embodiment of the new process consists in adding such an additive to the methanol, which serves to precipitate the nonsugar, which impairs the solubility of the nonsugars. These additives are, for example, formaldehyde, butahol or hexamethylenetetramine. The methanolic solution to remove the non-sugar substances is preferably brought to p H values 5 to 7
It is furthermore advantageous to use the sulphurous sulphurous molasses obtained when evaporating the totally inverted molasses Recover acid and as an aqueous solution for dilution and renewed inversion of the To use molasses again.
The final cleaning of the sugar-enriched filtrate takes place in the last stage of the process especially with ion exchangers' in a particularly economical way, since the largest. part the foreign matter to be exchanged has already been removed by the pretreatment.
The process gives about 80% of the total amount contained in, for example, cane sugar molasses sugar in the form of a colorless and purely sweet-tasting sugar syrup.
The application and feasibility of the process is not based on molasses as a starting product limited, but also in the same advanced manner in general for sugar juices usable.

Erhalten werden dabei etwa 20 bis 25 kg Nichtzuckerbestandteile.100 kg cane molasses with 78 Brix and a total sugar content of 49 kg (calculated on invert sugar /) are diluted with water in a ratio of 1: 2 and SO 2 is introduced until about 7 kg are absorbed. After that, the solution in the closed vessel is about. Heated 7 hours to 6o ° C, is present until all sugar as invert sugar. "Hereupon, the solution is evaporated in a vacuum of about 15 Torr at 40 to 50 0 C to dryness, mixed with 200 kg of methanol and stirred. In this case, by the addition of NH 3 ensured that a lasting p H of 7 is set. the stirring is continued for 6 to 8 hours, · has been transformed into a homogeneous suspension of precipitated in the methanol solution of salt until the viscous Melasserückstand. the salt is suitable filter filtered and washed with methanol, yielding about 20 to 25 kg of non-sugar components.
The methanolic filtrate including the washing methanol is then transferred in the usual way Ion or decolorization exchanger cleaned further, and can be turned into a sugar syrup of high Process purity, which contains around 40 kg of invert sugar.
