Edelgas enthaltende gasgefüllte. Glühlampe und Verfahren zu deren
Herstellung Bekanntlich tritt in Edelgas enthaltenden gasgefüllten elektrischen
Gas-filled ones containing noble gas. Incandescent lamp and method for its
Manufacture is known to occur in gas-filled electrical containing noble gas
Incandescent lamps often develop arcing during operation, which causes the
Thread is destroyed. A getter material is known to avoid this arch formation,
which consists of acidic oxides insoluble in water, e.g. B. SiO2, W03, etc., and
although the oxide or the oxides are combined with another getter substance,
z. B. together with red phosphorus, applied to the incandescent body, or it
the getter material is turned on in an incandescent lamp filled with pure noble gas
the same evaporated to full operating voltage and then knocked down. at
With these known incandescent lamps, the risk of arcing is almost complete
fixed, but the service life of the getter material, especially that of the SiO2,
not satisfying. When the lamp is switched on, glowing tungsten wire is formed
an approximately monoatomic layer of metallic silicon and is made up of the tungsten surface
adsorbs or reacts with the tungsten at high temperatures. However, it seems
.that adsorption mainly takes place on the tungsten surface, although
the adsorption capacity of the tungsten decreases during the lamp's burning time,
so that the getter formation is reduced.
One tries now
Getter material consisting of acidic oxides that are insoluble in water, in particular that
S102, to be accommodated in the lamp in such a way that only a small part of the getter material
is reduced to metallic silicon, whereas the greater part is more permanent
Getter replenishment remains unchanged in the lamp or due to its presence
In addition, the evaporation of the reduced silicon from the thread is also reduced.
It was found that both properties, i.e. both the getter effect
as well as the light distribution, can be improved if in addition to the S102 as well
Ti02 is still used, if only these two substances are mixed
can be used, whereby the mixture for the greater part of T102 and for
smaller part consists of S102, preferably of go% Ti02 and io0 / a S102.
in Form sehr fein verteilter Teilchen, vorteilhaft in Form amorpher Oxyde enthält.
i #t ist.
4,5 mg/cm2.With regard to the light distribution, the ease of application and
the more even layer, it is particularly advantageous if the applied,
exclusively a mixture of Si02 and Ti02 representing layer the said oxides
in the form of very finely divided particles, advantageously in the form of amorphous oxides.
The fine distribution or the small dimensions of the particles are essential.
In particular, it is advantageous if the Ab-. measurement of particles smaller than
It is. The total amount of oxides intended for application is advantageously at most
4.5 mg / cm2.
B. organischen Verbindungen
In order to produce the said layer in the lamp vessel, the mentioned
Substances on the inside of the piston, which expediently have a matt surface
has, in the form of their volatile, advantageous z. B. organic compounds
or with simultaneous oxidation the oxides of the same applied. So z.
B. Esters of silicon and titanium inside the lamp at the same time, in air
or vaporized in oxygen resulting from oxidation or combustion. In this way
a very fine oxide coating of the above-mentioned grain size and layer thickness is obtained.
It has been found that the application facilitates or the necessary in certain cases
Grain size through the use of halogen-containing, especially chlorine compounds
can be better achieved, or by the fact that one evaporation and oxidation
in the presence of a halogen-containing compound, e.g. B. chloric acid gas.
In addition, the coating can in a known manner with the help of a binder,
z. B. collodion. Only titanium white can then be used as a pigment
are added to the binder, while the silicon is in the form of a silicone resin
the binder-pigment suspension is added, after which it is known per se
Way, the solvent of the suspension evaporates and the binder burned out
will. The silicone resin is transformed into one that does not interfere with the operation of the lamp
Connection around, d. that is, the organic constituent of the silicone resin burns away
at- . organic part converts to silicon dioxide and thereby forms the second
Component of the finished coating.
