Andererseits wird aber durch den von den Nuten beanspruchten Raum der Querschnitt für den Übergang des Erregerflusses vom Pol auf den Anker verringert, so daß sich Sättigungserscheinungen ausbilden können. Das Verringern der Nuttiefe zum Vermeiden von Änderungen der Jochinduktion an Stellen verringerter Blechpakethöhe ist an sich bei aus Blechen mit polygonalem Umfang aufgebauten Ständerblechpaketen mit verteilter Wicklung bekannt.
