Durch den auf beiliegender Zeichnung dargestellten Thürschliefser, welcher durch Federkraft wirkt, wird ein sicheres, fast geräuschloses Schliefsen der ThUr herbeigeführt.With the door closer shown in the accompanying drawing, which is operated by spring force works, a safe, almost noiseless closing of the door is brought about.

Es ist eine Bremsvorrichtung angeordnet, welche die Thür nur dann frei läfst, wenn sie durch die entsprechend starke Feder ziemlich geschlossen ist, so dafs dann das Schliefsen mit dem nöthigen Drucke erfolgt. Die Federy zum Schliefsen der Thür ist in einer Büchse b b^l angebracht, welche aus zwei teleskopartig in einander verschiebbaren Theilen besteht. Die Büchse ist einerseits an der Thür und andererseits am Thürrahmen angelenkt, so dafs sie beim Oeffnen der Thür zusammengeschoben und die Feder f gespannt wird. In dem Boden des Theiles b¹ der Büchse ist eine Stange s angebracht, welche sich beim Schliefsen und Oeffnen der Thür in dem Bodentheile der Büchse b verschiebt. Die Stange s ist mit einer Verdickung s¹ versehen, welche bei der Bewegung an die Bremsrolle r oder dergl. trifft, während die Stange s mit der der Verdickung entgegengesetzten Seite über eine Fläche g gleitet. Die Rolle ist in einem an. der Büchse b befestigten Hebel h gelagert. Durch den gegabelten oder mit einem Schlitze versehenen Arm dieses Hebels ist eine Schraube α geführt, auf welcher eine Spiralfeder c angebracht ist. Diese drückt die Rolle so weit gegen die Stange s, als es der Kopf der Schraube α zuläfst. Wird nun die Thür geöffnet, so stöfst die .Verdickung s¹ an die Rolle; diese setzt aber der Bewegung keinen Widerstand entgegen, da die Feder c eine Drehung des Hebels h zuläfst. Wird hingegen die Thür geschlossen, so verhindert der Kopf der Schraube α die Drehung des Hebels h und infolge dessen drückt die Rolle fest gegen die Verdickung und hindert daher die schnelle Bewegung der Stange s und somit auch die schnelle Ausdehnung der Feder f, sowie das zu kräftige Zuschlagen der Thür. Ist die Thür jedoch ziemlich geschlossen, so wird die Stange s von der Bremsrolle frei, da die Verdickung entsprechend kurz ist, und sie fällt daher in das Schlofs, ohne jedoch zu schlagen. Durch Anziehen oder Nachlassen der Schraube s kann der Bremsdruck leicht verstärkt oder verringert werden.A braking device is arranged which only releases the door when it is fairly closed by the correspondingly strong spring, so that the closing then takes place with the necessary pressure.
