Die bekannten Ventileinsätze genügen der vorgenannten Bedingung hinsichtlich der Möglichkeit, die Ventilsitze nacharbeiten zu können, ergeben aber keine einwandfreie Lösung des Kühlungsproblems. Dieselben erhalten ,ihr Kühlwasser aus einer Zone des Zylinderkopfes, in der es sich schon zu stark erwärmt hat, um genügend wirksam, besonders im Falle des Auslaßventils, kühlen zu können. Ein im Kühlwasserraum des Zylinderkopfes eingesetztes Rohr 6 leitet das Zylinderkühlwasser von dem an der Unterseite des Zylinderkopfes angeordneten Zufluß durch den Kanal 7 von oben in den Kanal 5 des Ventileinsatzes i und von dort nach Passieren des unteren Durchgangs 8 und Durchfließen des Ventileinsatzwasserraumes in den obenliegenden Abflußkanal g und schließlich in die Abflußleitung io.
