The invention relates to display tubes for electrical voltages, as they are in particular in radio sets and the like can be used to display the tuning status. It is already Spatinungs indicator tubes known with a display system in which one by one or more deflection electrodes angle-controlled electron beam on a fluorescent anode a luminous image generated whose opening angle is a measure of the voltage to be displayed. There are still already combined tubes known which apart from the display system one or more other independent ones Contain electrode systems for other purposes, in particular a system for amplification the voltage to be displayed.
In a known embodiment this Combined tube type, the various systems are arranged one above the other in such a way that one for them common cathode has several separate electron-emitting longitudinal sections, This results in a storey-like arrangement of the various systems. There is a longitudinal section the cathode is enclosed by the amplifier electrodes (control grid and anode) while the other longitudinal section surround the electrodes of the display system.
But it is also a different embodiment known, in which the system division is not in axial, but in radial sections of the Ka, -thode takes place so that part of the cathode circumference of the same longitudinal section of the cathode the display system, while the other part of the cathode circumference of the same, cathode longitudinal section belongs to a different electrode system. There are also amplifier tubes known, ίο in which between the individual amplifier systems a shield located at ground potential is arranged.
Furthermore, multiple triodes are also known in which radial shields with the cathode are connected or only have a low positive voltage which reduces the space charge. Between the shields are the electrodes, namely the grid and anode of the individual triode systems arranged. In all of these arrangements it is necessary that the shields are not opposite the cathode have a high positive potential since they then emitted the majority of those from the cathode; Attract electrons and thereby make the amplifier systems practically ineffective would.
The voltage indicator tube to which the invention relates is a tube with a display system in which an angle controlled by one or more deflection electrodes Electron bundles on a fluorescent truncated cone, Cup-shaped or barge-shaped anode generates a luminous image, although its longitudinal extent different from the combined tubes described so far, but in one that is already known per se Way is perpendicular to the cathode and its opening angle is a measure of the to be displayed Voltage, and a further electrode system that is independent of the display system for other purposes. The arrangement of the two systems is such that the cathode with its same longitudinal section with one, part of its circumference for one system and with one other part of its scope is effective for the other system.
According to the invention are in voltage indicator tubes with such an arranged display and amplifier system in the display system between the display grid and anode other than those in the electron beam lying deflection electrode still special, at a positive potential, preferably anode potential, located electrodes that Shield the electron bundle from the field of the other electrode system and the resulting Limit the luminous image with sharp edges. Due to the electrodes arranged in the display system on positive The disruptive effect of the lattice struts, in particular the light-image-limiting effect, becomes a potential and the amplifier system in the usable part of the fluorescent screen prevented or canceled, and a sharp-edged delimitation of the luminous screen image is achieved. Through the on positive potential. Electrodes, is achieved that the display system and amplifier system are completely separated from each other, see> that no mutual interference can occur.
In FIGS. 1 to 3, exemplary embodiments of the invention are shown schematically.
Fig. ι zeigt den Aufriß der Elektrodensysteme gemäß vorliegender Erfindung;Fig. 1 shows the elevation of the electrode systems according to the present invention;
Fig. 2 stellt einen Schnitt der Fig. 1 längs der Linie A-A dar;Fig. 2 shows a section of Fig. 1 along the line AA ;
Fig. 3 zeigt ein weiteres Ausführungsbeispiel.Fig. 3 shows a further embodiment.
Grids 2, 3 and anode 4 are each only partially enclosed. The grid 2, which only partially encloses the cathode, is preferably at negative or cathode potential. The grid 3 and anode 4 form an amplifier system. In this embodiment, the control electrode of the display system, which forms a separate component, is, for example, a pin 5 running parallel to or at an angle to the cathode or consists of several such pins or a sheet metal strip and can be electrically connected to the anode of the amplifier system inside or outside the discharge vessel. The anode 6 of the display part, which is covered on the inside with luminous material, preferably has the shape shown in FIG. 1. As a result, go becomes, in a manner known per se, depending on the shape and stress state of the control web. correspondingly luminous surface pattern generated on the fluorescent inner part of the anode. An asymmetrical design of the display system is preferred for the efficient use of space on the luminescent screen surface. The luminous pattern corresponding to this embodiment is indicated in FIG. 2 for a specific display state by hatching. The top of the system is usually terminated by the optically opaque cover cap 7, which has a positive fluorescent screen potential.
Aus der Fig. 2 ist ersichtlich, daß der Kathoden-In order to reduce the disruptive effect of the lattice struts 2 and 3, in particular the effect of limiting the luminous image. prevent, or cancel, are according to the invention in the sector of the display part at positive potential held sheets 8 with preferably parallel to the cathode edges or struts that are parallel run to the cathode, attached. These metal sheets are arranged in such a way that the disturbing electrical Field effect of the lattice struts and the amplifier system in the usable display part of the fluorescent Screen diminished or canceled and a sharp-edged boundary of the luminous one Screen image, is achieved. The sheets have, preferably the form shown in plan in FIG. 2. The grid arrangement is made that the struts of the grids 2 and 3 are attached in the plane of separation of the two systems and. so that a mutually disruptive influence of display and amplifier systems does not occur can. Since the two lattice struts are at negative potential opposite the cathode, they act they act as an electrostatic screen, so to speak. From Fig. 2 it can be seen that the cathode
