Die Erfindung betrifft ein stufenloses Zugmittelgetriebe mit verstellbaren Riemenscheiben oder Kettenräder.The invention relates to a continuously variable transmission with adjustable pulleys or sprockets.

Es ist bekannt ,daß die meisten Zugmittelgetrieben mit zwei nicht verstellbaren Riemenscheiben oder Kettenräder und mit einem festen Übersetzungsverhältnis arbeiten.It is known that most traction drives work with two non-adjustable pulleys or sprockets and with a fixed gear ratio.
Wenn man die Übersetzung verändern möchte,dann muß das Zugmittelglied (Riemen oder Kette) von einem Rad zum Anderen wechseln, wie z.b. bei den Mountain Bikes gibt es am Hinterrad 8 Kettenräder und bei den Pedalkurbeln weitere 3 Kettenräder.
