Im Stand der Technik sind Liegemöbel bekannt, bei denen der Auflagerahmen am Bettkasten verschwenkbar gehaltert ist. Dabei kann der Auflagerahmen auch mehrteilig ausgebildet sein, so daß er ein selbständig einstellbares und neigungsverstellbares Kopfteil und ein dieses zu einer Gesamtliegefläche ergänzendes Hüft- und Fußteil aufweist. Bei der bestimmungsgemäßen Benutzung ist auf den Auflagerahmen eine Matratze aufgelegt und ggf. auch Bettzeug. Dies bedeutet, daß der Benutzer zum Verschwenken des Fußteiles in die Öffnungsposition, dann wenn ein Zugang zu dem Bettkasten erwünscht ist, das gesamte Gewicht des Fußteiles einschließlich der Auflagen bewegen muß. Um diesen Nachteil zu beheben, ist schon die Anordnung von federunterstützten Beschlägen vorgesehen worden, wobei diese so ausgebildet sein mußten, daß in der abgesenkten Position eine Totpunktlage erreicht ist, die zum Öffnen des Bettkastens, also zum Anheben des Fußteiles zunächst durch Kraftaufbringung überwunden werden mußte, damit dann die weitere Öffnungsbewegung des Fußteiles federgestützt erfolgen konnte.
