Device for coupling electrical lines is the subject of the invention
is an electrical line coupling, which is preferably used to connect the heating circuits
electrically powered buses is intended. Since voltage and current are in
the heating circuits are relatively large, special precautions must be taken
so that the coupling is pulled by the arc on the connector pins when pulled under load
will not be damaged. It must also be ensured that the contact is live
Parts inside the coupling socket is prevented after opening the cover.
With the previous coupling devices that were used for heating the trailers from
Trolleybuses are used, the clutch is in connection with appropriate switches
locked in the trolleybus by having the clutch and switch in the correct order
must be operated one after the other using a common key.
The invention avoids this particular security key and
prevents damage to the coupling contacts when the coupling is under load
is pulled. At the same time, adequate protection against accidental contact is provided for the live
Parts of the coupling reached and the plug completely secured against falling out,
so that no further locking is required. The operation of the clutch below
Load is made possible according to the invention in that the arranged on the feed side
Part of the clutch with
a two-pole circuit breaker directly
is assembled by .the movement of the formed as pressure contacts
Coupling contacts is directly actuated mechanically. The contact pins are included
additionally cushioned in the socket or a plug and interrupt when pulling
of the plug die.an their end faces formed contact parts only when
the circuit breaker is already open. The connector pins are for this purpose
stored in your connector holder so that they can be moved lengthways and have an effect
a spring standing cap, which is against the connector holder and the under action
the tension spring of the circuit breaker standing, arranged longitudinally displaceable in the box
Supports pressure pin. The additional springing of the connector pins serves at the same time
the purpose of ensuring proper closure despite wear and tear on the circuit breaker contacts
to ensure these contacts. For this it is necessary that the suspension of this
Connector pins is stronger than the force exerted by the opening spring of the circuit breaker
is exercised. When inserting the coupling plug, the opening spring is first of all
the switch contacts overcome and the circuit breaker closed. Only after
The switch contacts are placed under tension on the cap
the spring engaging the connector pin is compressed. When pulling out the plug
Therefore, the spring of the connector pins relaxes first, and then open
the contacts of the circuit breaker. A lifting of the pressure contacts between the coupling socket
and coupling plug before opening the circuit breaker when pulling out the
Connector cannot arrive, however, because during the opening stroke of the circuit breaker contacts
the contact pins in the coupling under the influence of the opening spring of the circuit breaker
are still held in contact at their end faces. Around the inserted plug

The junction box must be protected against the ingress of moisture and dirt
provided a hinged cover held in the closed position by a spring, the
by a leaf spring attached to its inside on a nose of the connector housing
and prevents the plug from falling out.
An exemplary embodiment of the invention is shown in the drawing.
Fig. I shows a section through the junction box and plug
existing clutch; Fig. 2 shows a view from above of the junction box.
7 in Pfeilrichtung bewegt.
The coupling device shown in the drawing is for
Determines the coupling of the heating circuit of a trolleybus trailer with the motor vehicle.
The two-pole heating cable i coming from the trailer ends in two connector pins
2, which are in the insulating plate 3 of the connector housing q. longitudinally displaceable
and at their contact end with a cap under the action of the spring 5
6 are provided. The mating contact 7 to the plug pin 2 is also in one
The insulating body 8 of the junction box 9 is mounted in a longitudinally different manner. The current transition
via the two pressure contacts 2 and 7 takes place at their end faces. Behind the
Two-pole junction box 9 is located in the housing io a two-pole switch
i i, of which the switch contacts with their drive linkage are indicated schematically
are. Since the switch serves as a circuit breaker, the blow magnet is used to quench the spark
12, provided with the blower plate 13, which at the same time forms the spark chamber. The drive
of the switch ii takes place through the contact pin 7, which is attached to the lever 1q. attacks.
The lever 1q. is under the action of the tension spring 15, which tries to move the lever i ¢
to bring in such a position that the switch i i opens and thereby the pressure contact
7 moved in the direction of the arrow. By a pivotable cover 17 about the axis 16
the junction box 9 is protected against the ingress of dirt and moisture.
When inserting the plug into the junction box, the pin 2 finds its cap
6 on the contact pin 7 a counter-position, so that the contact 7 is initially opposite
moves in the direction of the arrow until the lever i ¢ makes the switch contact against the tension spring i5
i i closes because the spring 5 is more pretensioned than the force of the tension spring
15. When the plug is pushed in further, the spring 5 is then compressed,
until the cap 6 is supported on the insulating body 3. In the tucked-in position
of the plug, the nose 18 has such a position that the on the inside of the
Cover 17 attached leaf spring i9 snaps behind the nose iS and the plug
q. against falling out. the socket. When pulling out the plug
q. the cover is first lifted and then the plug is pulled. This opens
first the switch ii, since the two contacts 7 and 2 after relaxation of the
Spring 5 initially remains in contact with the spring 15 at its end faces.
The two contacts 7 and 2 are therefore only separated at the last moment,
when the switch i i is already open, so that on the pressure contacts in the plug
and there is no line tear in the junction box.
