Immer wieder kommt es zu schweren Unfällen, besonders bei Anfängern in dieser Sportart, weil bei einer Vollbremsung das Vorderrad blockiert. Die Folge ist eine plötzliche Verlagerung des Schwerpunktes, so daß der Radfahrer nach vorne geschleudert wird, Und sich dabei überschlägt.Serious accidents occur again and again, especially among beginners in this sport, because the front wheel locks when braking hard. Um diesen Unfällen besser begegnen zu können, soll die nachste'hend beschriebene Neuerung dienen. Im wesentlichen besteht diese Neuerung auf einer Modifizierung der Felge (1). Auf einer bzw. beiden Felgenseiten, die als Bremsfläche dienen, sind in noch, festzulegenden Abständen entweder quer zum Felgenumfang (Figur 1) oder alternativ, wie in Figur 2 dargestellt, in Längsrichtung verlaufende Erhöhungen (2, 3) angebracht.The innovation described below is intended to help prevent these accidents.
