Um für den Verbraucher kenntlich zu machen, um welche Jungpflanzen es sich handelt, ist es bekannt, in die Pflanztöpfe kleine angespitzte Kunststoffahnen einzustecken, die mit den entsprechenden Informationen, insbesondere mit der biologisch, häufig auch mit der umgangssprachlichen Bezeichnung versehen ist. Zwangsläufig ist die für die Informationen zur Verfügung stehende Fläche sehr gering, aus Kostengründen sind derartige Informationsfahnen auch nur einseitig bedruckt.
