Das Anschlußmodul kann als Schraubklemme oder als Anschlußklemme in Schneid-Klemm-Technik ausgeführt sein. Um Störungen im Bereich des Anschlusses des Kabels an die Geräte-Steckverbinderbuchsen zu vermeiden, weisen die Anschlußdosen vorzugsweise ein abschirmendes Gehäuse auf, welches zumindest die Geräte-Steckverbinderbuchsen und die Leiterplatte und vorzugsweise auch das Anschlußmodul umschließt. Wird ein Daten- und/oder Kommunikationsnetz beispielsweise in einem Messe oder Informationsstand installiert, so müssen beim Auf- und Abbau des Standes die UAE-Dosen jeweils über das Anschlußmodul an die Verkabelung angeschlossen und von dieser wieder abgeklemmt werden. Dies ist zum einen äußerst zeitraubend.
