Rags, handkerchiefs or cloths are usually used to clean the oil dipstick in motor vehicles. After using these handkerchiefs or cloths ^once, they are usually thrown away, which then contributes to environmental pollution, ie increases the mountain of rubbish.

Rags can be used several times, but they are also thrown away afterwards and thus cause the same problem as the cloths. It is very rare that these old cleaning rags are washed, but this still pollutes the environment, as the oil ends up in the wastewater. In addition, using such cloths and rags makes your hands dirty.

The underlying problem is to find an object or method that can be used multiple times and also does not have such a negative impact on the environment.

This problem is solved by using materials that have already been used (protection claim 1), the cardboard (3) and the foam (1 and 2), for the oil dipstick cleaning sponge. This saves waste, as the production of this cleaning sponge involves recycling. In addition, this cleaning sponge can be used three times or more due to its shape and after use the cardboard (3) can be disposed of separately from the foam (1 and 2).

The advantages of this invention are

- that the oil dipstick cleaning sponge is manufactured using a recycling process and thus waste is avoided,

- that the cleaning sponge, due to its lightweight design, as mentioned in claim 2, can be used three times or more,

- that the oil is quickly absorbed by the foam (protection claim 1) /

- that the cardboard (3) gives the user a firm grip on the sponge and prevents the oil from getting through the foam to the hands,

- the cleaning sponge is folded into a handy small size,

- that after use the foam (1 and 2) and the cardboard (3) can be disposed of separately.

By using two different colored foams (1 and 2), as stated in claim 1, it is easy to see from the foam (2) how far the oil has worn away.

The embodiment is explained using Figures 3 to 5. They show:

Figure 5 shows the third use after the cleaning sponge has been turned from the W-shape into the V-shape. As shown in Figures 3 to 5, it can be used more often because the foam (1 and 2) is very absorbent (protection claim 1).

Figures 6 to 8 show how the cleaning sponge is held. You hold it between your hands while you hold the cardboard (3). By squeezing the sponge a little, you get the shape. With your other hand, you can now hold the dipstick and pull it through the recesses A, B or C (Figures 3 to 5) by placing the end of the dipstick in the sponge and then pulling the dipstick out. While you pull the dipstick out, you squeeze the cleaning sponge. If you then open your hand again a little, you can see the color of the oil on the white foam (2).
