Description

The invention relates to reusable containers made of plastic for the transport and storage of light bulk goods, with a conical body for stacking purposes, which has a rectangular or square cross-section and an outwardly offset upper edge.

Large-volume containers made of corrugated cardboard with a flexible inliner are used for the transport and storage of light bulk goods and are placed on wooden pallets. These cardboard containers are intended for single use.

The need to save raw materials and the strict legal environmental protection regulations require the transition from disposable containers of various types to reusable containers that can be reconditioned in order to relieve the environment of harmful substances and whose components can be recycled.

The generic plastic container known from DE 92 08 795 Ul, which has a hinged lid with safety lock, is primarily intended for the storage of hazardous waste. Due to its relatively small volume, this container is not suitable for the transport and storage of bulk goods. Furthermore, the complicated shape of the container requires a correspondingly complex injection molding tool for the production of the container. Finally, in order to save space when empty and to store the containers cheaply, the container lid with its expandable, slotted hinge sockets must be detached from the hinge pins molded onto the container edge.

DE-OS 18 15 008 describes a large-capacity container for transporting and storing bulk goods, which is moved with machines, cranes and the like. The container has a frame with four corner posts made of steel, which are attached to a pallet with a continuous floor made of sheet metal. The corner posts support the four side walls and the top wall provided with filling openings, whereby the five walls are also made of sheet metal. To empty the bulk goods, discharge funnels made of flexible foil material with discharge openings for the bulk goods are arranged in the floor of the container, which can be closed with a screw-on lid. The discharge funnels can be pushed into the container in the direction of the funnel axis and pulled out of the container. To empty the bulk material, the container is removed from the pallet and lifted so that the discharge funnels are pushed downwards out of the container under the pressure of the bulk material and, after the screw caps are opened, the bulk material can flow out through the discharge funnels.

An economical use of this expensive

Large-capacity containers are only possible for the transport and storage of large quantities of bulk goods.

The invention is based on the object of developing a low-cost, economically usable reusable container of medium size for light bulk goods.

This object is achieved according to the invention by a reusable container with the features of the protection claim.

The conical design of the hull and the offset

The top of the lid of the plastic blow-molded reusable container allows several hulls to be stacked inside one another and a larger number of lids to be stacked on top of one another, so that the costs for transporting the empty containers to the manufacturers of bulk goods are low and the containers can be stored at the manufacturers in a space-saving and cost-effective manner until they are shipped, which is preferably done on pallets. The opening in the bottom of the hull, which can be closed with a snap-on lid, enables the container to be emptied quickly and easily.

The reusable container 1 made of plastic for transporting and storing light bulk goods has a body 2 that is conical for stacking purposes and has an upper edge section 3 that is offset to the outside. The rectangular or square body 2 is closed by a snap-on lid 4 with a profiled upper side 5 that is offset for stacking purposes and has a stacking surface 6 for stacking containers 1 on top of one another.

In the bottom 7 of the hull 2 there is an opening 8 for emptying the container 1, which is closed from below by a snap-on lid 9.

The reusable container can be equipped with a flexible inliner.

For transport, the filled container 1 is placed on a pallet 10 and, if necessary, secured by one or more tensioning straps 11. For empty transport and storage, the hulls 2 are stacked inside each other and the lids 4 are stacked on top of each other and placed on pallets 10.

The containers 1 are blow-molded in one piece from plastic, and then the lid 4 is separated from the body 2. The emptying opening 8 is then cut into the bottom 7 of the body 2.
