Staubsauger, insbesondere Zvklonstaubsauger mit Fi HerVacuum cleaners, especially cyclone vacuum cleaners with filter
It is already known to use pre-separators in vacuum cleaners to separate the coarse dust. The pre-separator is usually located in a separate housing, which is connected to the actual vacuum cleaner housing by a hose. Due to the need to use two housings, such vacuum cleaners are relatively complex to manufacture, take up a lot of space and are also relatively inefficient. The aim of the present invention is to create a pre-separator in a vacuum cleaner, particularly a cyclone vacuum cleaner, with a filter, which has the same spatial dimensions as a conventional vacuum cleaner, is easy to manufacture and has the highest possible efficiency.
This is achieved according to the invention by arranging a filter chamber which encloses the filter in a pot-like manner and has only one or more recesses for the suction air to pass through. The filter chamber according to the invention is located in the vacuum cleaner housing itself, so that no additional housing is required and the external dimensions are not increased as a result. Since no additional hose connections are required, the efficiency is also increased. However, there are also other significant advantages. A filter chamber firmly connected to the motor part protects the actual filter against damage, both during vacuuming and when emptying the container. The coarse suction material is separated from the suction flow on the outer circumference of the filter chamber, so that only fine dust can reach the filter. This also increases the service life of the filter.
ölbelasteten Stoffen,While in the versions without a filter chamber the dust housing can only be filled to the extent that there is still a certain distance to the filter base in order to avoid clogging the filter and to enable it to be shaken, the dust chamber can now be used for the coarse suction material up to the height of the recesses in the closed filter chamber, as the filter chamber separates the actual filter from the coarse dust chamber. As a result, the filter cannot become clogged and, despite the high level of suction material in the container, the shaking effect is not hindered. There are particular advantages when wet vacuuming, both water and oil- or oil-contaminated materials.
denn diese setzen sich bereits vor der Filterkammer ab, so daß das Filter selbst hiermit nicht in Berührung kommt und infogedessen trocken bleibt.because these settle in front of the filter chamber, so that the filter itself does not come into contact with them and therefore remains dry.
Another significant advantage of the filter chamber is that it can also be retrofitted to existing vacuum cleaners by simply inserting the filter chamber into the container.
In order not to reduce the efficiency of the vacuum cleaner according to the invention unnecessarily, the total cross-section of the recesses is equal to or larger than the cross-section of the inlet opening or a suction hose of the vacuum cleaner. In order to achieve the highest possible suction level for the coarse suction material, the recesses are expediently arranged at the end of the filter chamber opposite the chamber floor. In order to achieve an even better separation of the coarse suction material, baffles for diverting the suction air are provided on the recesses of the closed filter safe chamber. This first calms the air flow and then accelerates it so that heavier parts fall off safely. The recesses are preferably designed as longitudinal slots in the casing of the filter chamber, whereby the longitudinal slots can also be formed by spiral-shaped tongues cut out of the casing.
The filter is not only protected by the filter chamber inside the vacuum cleaner housing, but also when the suction head is removed together with the filter chamber, especially if the base of the filter chamber is designed as a stand. This also increases the service life of the filter. The filter chamber also protects against the possibility of contact with a contaminated filter. This is particularly important when disposing of dust quantities that are hazardous to health. The base of the filter chamber is conveniently attached to the filter chamber so that the fine dust can be emptied by simply opening the base. To ensure that no coarse suction material reaches the filter through the recesses, the filter chamber has a deflector collar at least on the recesses.
A detachable connection between the filter chamber and the suction head is particularly useful, so that the actual filter can be easily replaced after removing the filter chamber. Another option for attaching the filter chamber is to place it on the edge of the vacuum cleaner housing, whereby the filter chamber can then be clamped between the housing and the suction head.
Beim Aufprall der den Staub tragenden Saugluft wird die sehr hohe Luftgeschwin-The recesses for the passage of the suction air can also be provided in the floor of the filter chamber. The chamber floor is expediently formed by one or more crossbars, which are arranged in a cross-like manner. When the suction air carrying the dust hits, the very high air speed
Durch die plötzl iche Abbremsung der Saugluft fällt auch ein Teil des Wassers aus dieser heraus.speed is greatly reduced, so that the dust falls downwards due to this slowing down of the air. With the arrangement of the cross-shaped bars, the air speed is reduced so that the coarse and also some of the fine dust can fall downwards. Starting from the cross bars, the suction air, which is largely free of the dust, then goes vertically upwards and is accelerated again. The arrangement of the filter chamber in this form is also particularly suitable for vacuuming dust from tools that work with water cooling. Due to the sudden slowing down of the suction air, some of the water also falls out of it.
The length of the filter chamber is also of some importance and should ideally extend half the filter length beyond the filter.
Die Zeichnung zeigt Ausführungsbeispiele der Erfindung. Es stellen dar:The drawing shows embodiments of the invention. They show:

Figur 3 eine Darstellung nach Figur 2 einer anderen AusführungsformFigure 3 is a representation according to Figure 2 of another embodiment
Figur 4 eine Darstellung gemäß Figur 1 einer anderen AusführungsformFigure 4 is a representation according to Figure 1 of another embodiment
Figur 5 den Schnitt V-V nach Figur 4.Figure 5 shows the section V-V according to Figure 4.
The cyclone vacuum cleaner shown in Figure 1 has a suction head 2 which is removably mounted on a housing 1. A filter 3 is arranged on the suction head 2 and projects into the housing 1. The filter 3 is surrounded by a pot-shaped filter chamber 4 which has a recess 7 for the passage of the suction air 10 at the end 6 opposite the chamber base 5. Below the recess 7 there is also a deflection collar 8 which runs from the ends of the recess 7 almost to the upper end 6 of the filter chamber 4.
The suction air 10 entering at the air inlet opening 9 flows around the filter chamber 4, whereby the coarse dust settles and fills the space 11 for coarse suction material formed on the one hand by the housing 1 and on the other hand by the filter chamber 4. In addition, the deflection collar θ also prevents coarse suction material from entering the fine dust space located between the floor 5 of the filter chamber 4 and the lower surface 12 of the filter 3 1. In order to keep the pressure losses as low as possible, the cross-section of the recess 7 is kept as large as that of the air inlet opening 9.
Die Ausnehmung für den Eintritt der Saugluft 10 ist hier in mehrereWhile in Figure 2 the suction air 10 enters radially, in the embodiment according to Figure 3 the air enters tangentially. The recess for the entry of the suction air 10 is divided into several
Recesses 14 are divided, whereby the recesses are formed by tongues 15 bent out of the casing of the filter chamber 4. This in turn results in a deflection of the suction air 9, which further improves the falling off of coarse suction material.
In the embodiment according to Fig. 4 and 5, the same parts are designated with the same reference numbers as in the previous figures. The bottom 18 of the filter chamber 19 is open and has two crossbars 20 and 21 arranged crosswise to each other, so that four recesses 17 are created for the passage of the suction air. After entering at 9, this rotates around the filter chamber 19 with high kinetic energy and then impacts on the crossbars 20, 21. This briefly interrupts the air flow and reduces the air speed to almost zero, so that a large part of the dust, especially the coarser part, inevitably falls downwards. Inside the filter chamber 19, the air 10 then flows vertically upwards and is accelerated again. In order to achieve a good level of efficiency, the filter chamber 19 protrudes over the filter 3 by approximately half the length of the latter.
