The application relates to a travel first aid kit made of a flexible, dense plastic film for holding first aid material, such as bandages, adhesive plasters, safety pins, scissors and the like, whereby on a continuous layer of the plastic film as the back part, after an upper holding section, several adjacent film strips made of the same material are attached that extend over the entire width, which are connected to the back part at the side edges and at the bottom, parallel to the lower edge, to form pockets that are open at the top, and whereby the holding section and the pocket sections can be placed on top of one another to form a wrap.

A first aid container made of transparent or translucent plastic film is already known from DE - 80 02 838 Ul, in which several pockets are welded onto a smooth back part and in which several sections can be placed on top of each other to form a wrap.

With this first aid container, the film used may become brittle after prolonged use and there is a risk that the bags will tear, especially at the welded edges. In addition, printing on such a film is difficult. The open edges of the bags are only closed by wrapping them together, so that if handled carelessly, heavier objects such as scissors can fall out when in use.

The task is therefore to ensure that the bags have a high tear resistance and that the objects in the bags are reliably secured against falling out, while still maintaining easy accessibility and no additional fasteners or the like are necessary.

This task is solved by the plastic film having a textile-like structure and consisting of non-directional, pressed HDPE fibers with a diameter of 0.5 - 10 μm (e.g. Tyvek from Du Pont) and the film strips being sewn on and the insertion openings of at least one pocket being covered with a flap, whereby the side edges of the flap are also sewn to the back part.

The special material ensures that, in addition to being extremely light and highly tear-resistant, it is also easy to print on. This is achieved by the foil structure and, if necessary, by post-treatment of the foil using corona and/or embossing. This means that advertising prints, symbols for the contents of the bag, etc. can be applied inexpensively. Another particular advantage is that one or more bags can be closed with a flap that is also sewn onto the side edges. This prevents the flap from folding over and the contents falling out when the first aid kit is turned upside down and open. Nevertheless, the flexibility of the material means that access to the contents of the bag remains very good.

An advantageous further development consists in dividing individual pockets formed by the film strips by vertical seams and thus forming several pockets with one film strip, the size of which can be precisely matched to the bag contents.

It is useful to have an information panel on the pockets so that the contents of the pockets can be seen immediately.

A special development also consists in providing an eyelet in the holding section. This ensures that the wound-up first aid kit can be secured with a cord or similar.

Fig. 1 to 3 shows a travel first aid kit 1 made of opaque, easy to write on plastic film, which consists of high-density polyethylene (HDPE), whereby the film has a textile-like structure and consists of pressed, possibly corona-treated and embossed fibers with a thickness of 0.5 - 10 μιλ. Such a film is sold, for example, under the name "Tyvek" by the company Du Pont.

In Fig. 1, the travel first aid kit 1 with its individual bags 2 is shown in an unfolded state.

The pockets 2 are made of foil strips that are sewn onto a smooth back part of the same material. Of course, the width of the foil strips and thus the pocket size can be chosen as desired, depending on the size of the object to be inserted. The pockets 2 are sewn onto the side edges and the bottom, so that a pocket 2 that is open at the top is created. To increase strength, all material edges as well as the entire cut are

The pockets 2 are covered at their upper edge 5 by flaps 3. These flaps 3 are also sewn onto the side edges, so that there is practically an inverted small pocket above the pocket opening. To ensure good access, the flaps 3 are only about 2 cm wide. The upper seam of the flaps 4 is about 1/2 cm above the upper edge 5 of the pockets 2.

The pocket size can be further varied by sewing the foil strips to the back part using additional seams 4' running perpendicular to the lower edge 9.

A holding part 7 has an eyelet 8 approximately in the middle, through which a cord can be pulled, for example, so that the rolled-up first aid kit shown in Fig. 3 can be tied together. The eyelet 8 can also be used, however, to hang the first aid kit on a nail when in use, for example. The holding part 7 can also be made in one piece with the top flap 3, so that the material in the holding part 7 is also double-layered.

An information card containing the owner’s most important personal and medical data can be inserted into the bottom pocket 2.

For practical handling, the bags 2 are printed with symbols for the bag contents.

As shown in Fig. 2 and 3, the entire travel first aid kit l has approximately the format DIN A 5 when rolled up.

Protection claims 1. A travel first aid kit made from a flexible, dense plastic film for holding first aid materials such as bandages, adhesive plasters, safety pins, scissors and the like, wherein a number of film strips made from the same material are attached to a continuous layer of the plastic film as the back part after an upper holding section, which film strips are arranged next to one another and extend over the entire width and are connected to the back part at the side edges and at the bottom, parallel to the lower edge, to form pockets which are open at the top, and wherein the holding section and the pocket sections can be laid on top of one another to form a wrap, characterized in that the plastic film has a textile-like structure and consists of undirected, pressed HDPE fibers with a diameter of 0.5 - 10 μm. (e.g. Tyvek from Du Pont), the film strips are sewn on and the insertion openings of at least one pocket 2 are covered with a flap 3, wherein the side edges of the flap 3 are also sewn to the back part. 2.
