Description

KAISERLICHESIMPERIAL

PATENTAMT.PATENT OFFICE.

The subject of the present invention is a roof interlocking tile which is designed so that After covering, the edges visible from the outside are only about the thickness of slate plates demonstrate. This is achieved in that the brick is formed in two layers, their upper one, offset lengthways from the lower one in a known manner, only the one mentioned Slate thickness. When covering, the lower end of a brick engages in a broken one Fabric joint in the upper end of the next brick layer, covering it,,. At the point where the actual fabric joint is, and that is the essential thing In the present invention, the fabric is not arranged in a horizontal direction, but sloping down to both sides with every single brick, so that this is the case Drain the tail water that forms on both sides of each individual tile and into can run off the existing joints.

Beiliegende Zeichnung erläutert den Erfindungsgegenstand, und zwar stellt:The accompanying drawing explains the subject matter of the invention, namely:

Fig. ι vier derartige Ziegel in ihrer Zusammensetzung in Oberansicht dar;Fig. Ι four such bricks in their composition in top view;

Fig. 2 zeigt zwei neben einander liegende Ziegel in Unteransicht;2 shows two bricks lying next to one another in a view from below;

Fig. 3 ist ein Schnitt nach der Linie x-x der Fig. 1 undFig. 3 is a section along the line xx of FIGS. 1 and

Fig. 4 eine Seitenansicht der Fig. 1.FIG. 4 is a side view of FIG. 1.

As can be seen from FIGS. 1, 2 and 3, the brick consists of two layers α and b offset from one another in their longitudinal direction.

The fabric joint, which - results when covering, is indicated in Fig. 4 with d . It is necessary here that part b is beveled on the upper edge and beveled on the inside at the lower edge (line cd). Part α is at the top so that the tail water that forms on the inside of the tiles provided with cavities g does not run along the entire horizontal fabric joint of the rows of tiles, but can run off on each individual tile in the channels h specially provided for this purpose and formed by the folds bevelled on both sides and part b below. This creates a broken fabric edge i kl for each individual brick (Fig. 1 and 2), on which the tail water runs off on both sides in order to get to the channels h , where it can run down. This is of great advantage especially in winter, when the water from the tail could easily freeze in the fabric joints.
