Außerdem wird noch ein weiterer Vorteil erreicht, daß die Berührungsflächen der ineinandergefügten Teile durch die spiralförmigen Nuten um ein Vielfaches größer sind als bei den bisher bekannten Verzahnungen. Daraus ergibt sich zwangläufig der erstrebenswerte niedrigerere spezifische Flächendruck. Ferner wirken die spiralförmigen Nuten dem Bestreben der ineinandergefügten Teile, sich gegeneinander zu verdrehen, entgegen, wie das bei einer Planspirale der Fall ist.
